So sorry to hear that storm. I've been in that situation before. I know the Red Cross is absolutely fantastic at helping people with immediate needs. I'm sending my prayers. Geesh. On the lighter side .... Firestorm?

Your hair will stop falling out. I haven't heard of anybody going bald. I think around 8 months is the max. I wish you luck with the gallbladder. I was never offered medication for that. Idk why. Ill find out next week. I had my fair share of kidney stones before WLS and not taking any chance with a gallstone getting stuck. I have 25 more pounds to lose before goal. I am happy where I am, but really pushing for my goal. I should be able to get back to exercising here soon. I wish the best for everybody who has the desire and nerve to undergo this surgery!

6 months out and gallbladder surgery tomorrow
Snow posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wish I didn't have to do this. I was hoping WLS was turning my life around. My husband and I aren't getting along which makes it so much worse. Considering taking a cab to the hospital. I heard some unfortunate stories about this surgery and sometimes I feel like giving up. -

Roll Call for the July 2012 Sleevers! "5 Months Surgiversary"
Snow replied to Changing B4YourEyes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you very much for the info. I appreciate hearing experience from others. Yes I will have it removed. I've had my fair share of kidney stones as well. Gallstones do not surprise me. My body was rapidly deteriorating before I got the sleeve. Now I'm seeing the damage from overweight. -

Wow you're all doing so well! Congrats. I was sleeved July 11th highest weight 217 I now 147. Almost 70 lbs. I'm having issues with my gallbladder. Had pain at the bottom of my right rib. Just since Christmas the pain the radiates to my right shoulder blade. Just now had an ultrasound. Ill find out later today the results. My deductible is paid up until Jan. 1 hoping I don't need surgery sigh... I've been stalled the entire month of December. I've had a horrible time with the holidays. Made fudge and ate. I have post traumatic stress disorder and a few current events in this last month have triggered it again. Anyway I hope everyone keeps doing well. We can do this!!! -

Lissa I'm so sorry you're going through this. I'm kind of new here and I was shocked to hear somewhat of an identical situation in my life as well. So during my shock I posted all my issues here on your thread. My apologies. I'm scared for me and you. I'm praying for blessings to you and pray for your pain to find the door and leave. Please keep updating on your progress. I learn so much here as a lurker. Take Care Lissa -

Gallbladder Surgery...gone horribly wrong!
Snow replied to Lissa's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Omg!! Tomorrow I'm going in for a abdominal ultrasound. I had surgery on July 11th 5 1/2 months ago. I've been having pain on my right side below my rib cage in front. Last couple of days the pain shifted to my right shoulder blade on my back. Excruciating pain. Called my Dr. On Christmas Eve and she said do not eat any fat. So.... I'm fasting at midnight for an early morning ultrasound. If that's not enough. I'm freaking out from my husband. He's eating and eating and eating. I clean the dishes after Breakfast and he's hungry again. He actually SLURPED his Fettuccini Alfredo the other night. I was at the opposite end of the house and heard him. Omg!! Lord have mercy on this marriage. I did Not make my Christmas goal. Two pounds away and I know why. I made fudge and ate it. I have post traumatic stress disorder and the shooting in Connecticut triggered it again. I'm Not sleeping. I'm totally freaking out. I've lost 67 pounds started at 217lbs I'm 5'2" and weight looks awful on me. I started smoking again! Geeze! Transfer addiction? Yes! I'm in therapy and I'm struggling in every aspect of my life to exist everyday. Just waiting for the next disaster to pop up. Then I read this post. -
pain under right rib
Snow replied to ShrinkyDinkMe22's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm afraid I have the exact same pain. I'm 5 1/2 months out. Right at the bottom of my rib cage on the right side. It's a very dull pain. Almost feels like a muscle pain from doing sit ups. Guess I better get it checked out! Crap!!! -
Oh I've been using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. My hair stylist said my hair was really healthy. He said its so silky it's hard to work with. Almost as if I needed to color it to damage it a little bit. It's very soft and almost looks greasy right after I wash and dry it. This too soon shall pass.

I'm 5 1/2 months out. Taking biotin and getting all my protein. Let me put it this way, I had to call a plumber yesterday for my drains in my bathroom because of my hairloss. It clogged the main line. I'm not bald but I had thin blonde hair to begin with. Hair is all over my car, clothes absolutely everywhere. I know this will pass. I have no bald spots yet. I'd have the surgery again in a heartbeat regardless of hairloss. I'm down 62 lbs.
