Here's my issue...I did great for 2 years. Fell off the wagon with sugar and carbs. Gained about 30 lbs. Avoided scale all year since last week...but felt it. Knew it. Scale knocked me back to reality. Back to basics...protein, veggies Water. How do I flip that "switch" in my brain again. It's all so mental for me. I feel like crap so I eat..bigger clothes..don't exercise which makes me feel MORE like crap and fall further in the funk. HELP!! How do I get back to where I was at beginning...I still can't eat alot..but mind still wants. Not my stomach!

OMG....just had a total blonde moment. Hahaha....SORRY. After reading all the protein drink names and mixes...I thought it was something I had to buy! DUH, Thank you. Cannot wait to only be able to and only WANT to eat 4 oz. TOPS! Thanks

Hey all, I am scheduled for 11/13! I am 44 and an RN from the Jersey Shore. I have 3 fabulous kids, 9 and twins that are 6 and a totally supportive husband. The one thing in my life I have no control over is my weight. I love food, love to eat and need the "restrictiveness" of the sleeve to control my eating. I was lap banded in 2006 and only lost about 80lbs. Never had real restriction. Countless fills, denial, frustration. Finally had it out in 2011 and here I am. I am looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you. I have a lot of weight to lose and am so looking forward to more energy and living my life the way I really want to.

Thank you all for your concern and info. I called again today...and was told that a letter was sent out thurs 9/20 to say that they need more info...I guess the EGD was not sent and some progress notes....AAAAAHHHHHH!! IF the surgeon's office had been checking like they said they were then they would have found this out last THurs. So I called office today to have them fax all again. The reason they are telling me it is taking so long is because it is a non emergent procedure. I have Open Access too....not plus...wonder if that is making the difference. But got a great lady today on the phone and she said once the new info is faxed they will know by the end of the week. "Not denied...just not approved YET" So I am now rescheduled to 10/11/12...two more weeks to wait....

SOOO FRUSTRATED.....still no approval from Cigna....MD office wants to reschedule from 9/25 until I get approval. I called myself today...they said they received info on 9/6 and it went to medical review on 9/10 and they have up to 30 days for decision. They will mail a letter...so MORE time spent waiting. I have all this planned.....vaca...husband vaca...and 3 kids who are very busy (3 under 9) Any suggestions??? MUCH NEEDED PRAYERS!!

Wondering how it is going? I too have a date for 9/25 and still no confirmation from Cigna. I have done all my pats and pre op visits are this week. I have taken the week off, so has my husband. It HAS to happen on the 25th. I have not called the insurance myself...should I? Good Luck to you!

I am using Binni (as the office calls him) at Monmouth as well. I am scheduled for 9/25/12 and just had my pre adm testing done this past Fri. Getting nervous and psyched at the same time. I wish you good luck. I am happy with him so far...I am an RN so I know my docs...and how to deal with them. Hear good things about him. One question...why not until Dec?
