Hey conggrats and blessings on joining the fam. I had that same issue at first till my nurse kept it 100 and asked if I'm taking the old me sips....(more like gulps) or the new me sips. It made me slow down. Try one or two tiny pieces of ice let those melt then go down first. And see if that makes it any better. It takes time for your stomach to get used to the changes. So literally 1-2 drops of water is barely enough to have to swallow but that's how big your first few sips should be. I wish u the greatest journey of your life. I pray everything in this new life of yours is exciting as well as pleasing, and that you have no regrets. I know I don't. Sleeved 9-4-12 starting weight about 449lbs, date of surg- 419 today I am 187.2lbs

Hello again my people, its been a while. I just wanna say to everyone who is having second thoughts about getting sleeved...... Yes it is a tough journey in the beginning, only because you're making a life altering decision. Not only are you changing your appearance, you're changing your health and mentality. With that said.......think of this , for my health alone it was well worth it. But as a bonus I feel better than I ever have. My diabetes.....gone........high blood pressure.....gone......sleep apnea.......gone. so if you're having second thoughts just re-evaluate your personal situation, and see what it would be worth to you. Its your life and only yours. But I can honestly say its the best decision of my life so far. Iwas sleeved 9/04/12 and i started out at about 419-420lbs, today I'm 203lbs. And no worries if u follow the docs and dietitians advice plus trial and error, you will find what makes your journey more comfortable. Oh and the changes don't take long to get used to the first month is the hardest but its also the time you lose the most. So family I say think about it, and pray about it. You'll find your answer. Well wishes to everyone sleeved and good luck to those on the way.

Hello again ladies, I know everyone is unique, but I found I can eat chicken, I just had to keep it moist and juicy. Like a whole chicken in the crockpot, or just switch to dark meat. As you know its a lil juicier than white meat. But I'm good on crawfish from Joes crabshack. I'm good with Fish, and I cook my beef tender and soft, so I haven't had any issues. Just eat slow chew and try not to drink for 45 minutes to an hour after eating. Hope this helps. I was sleeved 9/4/2012. P.s. a few more pounds and I'm at goal.

Thank you.Ok protien bar or shake for Breakfast, grilled chicken or fish for lunch, crawfish from Joes crabshack usually for dinner or a well cooked and tender steak. I'm in the gym 6 days a week for atleast 3 hours a day. I start out with 45 min combined power and cardio in the pool, then I get out dry off and change, 30 min elliptical, 30 treadmill, 30 on the bike, then I do weight training for 45 min. But most important I pray a lot for will power, strength and determination. And he guides me.
