    Tax Itemization

Stupid question... But when you claim it on your taxes, what happens? Do you get more back in your refund or something? I have no deductions normally, or children to claim or anything like that, if that matters to the answer

I Want To See Before & After Pics!

My jaw dropped at your pictures, you look fantastic!
  7. I'm wondering how people felt the day you had your surgery, like right after you woke up. I've been put under, as an adult, twice and both times I was ready to get up and leave, or move. I hate being stuck in a hospital bed. Some of my bypass friends insist I'll be wiped out and not want to stay awake or move etc. I heard about the gas pains, but did anyone not experience that?

    Seriously Worried... Help!

I'm going to start dry brushing before surgery, some of the before and after pictures are so impressive you'd be dumb not to spend ten minutes a day on it!

    Birth Control Pills

I am going to have to look into the patch or something, I was wondering this myself. I take my pill not for contraception, but to help keep my endometrial hyperplasia at bay. Without the pill I bleed nonstop. 172 days at the longest.
  10. I've been telling most people I'm getting sleeved, and thankfully I haven't ran into anyone rude enough to say something not so nice. I'm lucky to have the bestest friend ever who's going to be there with me when surgery finally happens

    Aetna Copay?

Hey all, I just submitted my paper work in to my new doctor, and we are waiting to hear what other pre op tests I need to do. Back in July I had Cobra insurance, and after going through all the pre op tests with a doctor in my town, I was denied. I have Aetna now, and am going to an in network hospital and doctor about an hour away. Did anyone else with Aetna have to pay a copay? My insurance is called Aetna open choice ppo if that helps at all. Either way, I can't wait to get sleeved!

    Aetna Copay?

That makes more sense than 130!
  13. I am lucky enough that I have no desire to eat taco bell at all! I think I've worked here so long that nothing looks good
  14. I was wondering how long you took after surgery before you were back up to full speed? I'll have 3 weeks of sick and vacation time saved up, and after that my boss is letting me do a few weeks of register duty (easy work!) I work for a small taco bell, so sitting on a stool at a register sounds like a vacation to me. What about you?

Hi! I'm Michelle, still pre op, but I'm getting my surgery from Dr. K also! I'm about 70 miles away from Lenexa

How Far Do You Have To Travel?

I'll have to go about 75 miles! I'm hoping there aren't too many bumps on the way home

How Did You Feel The Day Of Surgery?

Thank you for all the replies! Looks like I'll have to deal with those gas pains anyways! Marsha, I'm waiting for my insurance to approve me and if they don't require additional tests, then I get a date. I tend to over prepare for everything, so I'm combing this site for every bit of information I can! I wish my doctor did it outpatient, I only have to stay for 23 hours but I'm very uncomfortable in hospitals and would much rather be at home ASAP

I forgot to add something! I won't miss seeing all those skinny b*****s in those cute dresses you see all summer and not being able to wear them. I can't wait for the summer after my surgery!

    Aetna Copay?

What did you pay 130 for! Holy cow. Did you have any complications? All the stuff from the doctors say that it's going to be 13 even, all including anesthetic and all that jazz
