Hehe awesome. I have a feeling it's going to work out fine, but the 'meantime' is hard. I hate waiting for things!!

Hello Everyone! Last week I went in for psychiatric testing. I had to take a 550 true false test with all kinds of statements...weird ones, too! What exactly are they looking for with this? I have an appointment to see the therapist next week and she'll go over it with me. I don't really know what to expect. I'm afraid of being disqualified or something. Does everyone have to do this, or is it just some insurance requires it?

So awesome!!!!!!!!!! Great job! -
I have to get this off my chest because I just can't let it go. I went to the mall today with a friend and our two girls. As we were walking along, I see this gal coming towards us. No big deal, we are in a public place! My daughter started to have a little meltdown, so I bent down to talk to her. As I was bent talking to her face to face (she's 2, so, you know, little...), I feel like someone is standing next to me and then I notice that someone is waving a post card for Advocare right in front of my face. WHILE I WAS BENT DOWN TALKING TO MY KID! She didn't say a word, just waved the stupid card in my face. She didn't give one to my friend and I didn't see her give one to anyone else. Just me. The fat lady. So humiliating. I already know I'm fat. I live in this body every day. I am uncomfortable in this skin every day. I hate this body every day. At least before I could pretend that no one noticed me. But now, I know that they do. And that they 'think things' about me based on my appearance. Humiliating!

Ugggh. I've made up my mind that I'm going to get 'sleeved'. I'm at the very beginning though. Attended the intro class and turned in a lot of paperwork and now I'm just waiting to hear back. I figure it'll happen in January, or so. Well, I don't want to just sit here getting fatter! I' really discouraged though. A 20 minute walk leaves me in pain and barely able to walk the next day. It's very painful and I feel defeated. Did anyone else out there have plantar fasciitis that went away as you lost weight, post op? Any tips to help in the meantime? Thanks.

I hate that! Its so ridiculous! If losing weight were really THAT easy, everyone would be thin. Or 'healthy' or....whatever! Even my husband is all...'just track your food'. Awesome...problem solved, I'm skinny! LOL! Ugh. Well, I really shouldn't throw my husband under the bus like that. He's said that in the past, but now he understands there is something else going on with my body.

Haha...me too. It happened so fast, it took me a second to realize what happened. I could quote all of you! You're all just so understanding and kind. Thank you so much for being so nice to me. I know you all 'get it'! What a wonderful group to be a part of!

Thank you! I'm so happy and excited. I feel like I will get a new beginning.

I got a phone call from the care coordinator today. She went over everything that my insurance covers and we scheduled an appointment for October 17th for a health class, a fitness class, a meeting with a physician, and a meeting with a NUT. After that, I have 2 more appointments to go through with a NUT.....and then it's go time! I'm sooooo excited!

I just got some KT Tape and followed the directions on their website for taping for Plantar Fasciitis.....wow. I can't believe how much better my feet felt today. They were still painful, but not so horrible that I had to hobble around. I was able to grocery shop without having to stop! This morning, I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom without holding on to anything for support. Thank you for this tip! I also ordered some MBT shoes; and getting some gel heel inserts are next on the list!
-
Okay! I'm going to get the gels, are they ....full sized, like shaped like a foot? Or are they smaller just for your heels? I think I have medical tape. I'm gonna try that!!

Thought of a couple more while at the park with my family today: I want to swing! I want to slide!!! -
So...medical tape on my arch from the start of it to the end. And then another piece around? Do you put it on tight?
-
Loll....I mean cushions for you heels that you put in your regular shoes!

So happy for you!! I feel the same way as you about being fat. It's so hard to be in this skin! -
I might need some Fit Flop boots his winter! Do you use for you heels? Any kind of 'heel cushion'? I can't wait till this PF pain is over.

Yipppeeee! Great job! -
I'm not sleeved yet, but the pre and post op diet freaks me out a little. Sugar free this, fat free that....I like to eat clean, and this does not fall in line with that. I'm sure that a couple of months of that diet won't kill me, but did anyone out there feel like me? Did you do anything different? Thanks!!

LOL....a skunk bum....appetizing. Hehe.

You are doing great!!! Can't wait to get mine. No date yet!

Bathing suits! Walking without pain! Feeling comfortable in my own skin! Good sex! Buying little clothes! -
Minimal processed foods. That is the best way to describe it. Sorry, I should have been more clear in my initial post.
-
I am. I am in counseling specifically for it, and it's helping tremendously.

Pdxman, I'm in Vancouver....who was the PT that did the ASTYM therapy?? Thanks for the info, by the way. I bought orthodics from Good Feet. They're horrible and haven't helped at all!

These are all shoe brands I have heard of for PF. I can't wait to check them out. I heard that New Balance has a good tennis shoe for PF too. Thank you for all of this info. I'm so glad that this can resolve with weight loss. (sitting here icing my feet as we speak!)
