What's wrong with me?
TapSnap replied to NeverBeTheSameAgain's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Everyone gets some pre game jitters. The surgery will go fine you won't feel a thing since you will be sleeping. When you wake up you might be a little panicky. I was when I woke and then I seen someone I knew. Then its all downhill from there. You will be in a little pain but nothing major. The give you pain meds. I had a happy button that used every chance I got because it was awesome. The worst part for me was drinking this stuff so they could do a xray of the stomach for leaks. That stuff was nasty. You will be fine just relax. -
I am in the same boat. never could do one but its one of the things I want to do. I am at the gym every day lifting or running. The pull down mechine I can do about 150 4 or 5 times. So I figure if I can do 200 1 time when I get to 200lbs I should be able to do one. right? I dont know start hitting the weights.

Explaining your weight loss
TapSnap replied to Indigo1991's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am open about my surgery as well. I don't see the point of hiding it. I feel like if you hide something you're ashamed of it. If people don't like it screw the you did it for you not them. If they are your friends they won't care. they might have questions but everyone does. -
Awesome job. I am 4 months out and started at 360lbs. I am down to 255lbs. I already see the skin in my arms and in my thighs getting bad. I started using palmers cocoa butter everyday after I shower to try to head this off as much as I can. I am also at the gym every day or running. After my race in July thinking of start insanity workout. I was told you have to give your skin at least a year to shrink after a year what you have is what you have. We either have to deal with it or have surgery. I dont mind he arms if I can build muscle to fill it in. But my legs and stomach will be a different story. Good luck and keep it up.

I been getting some good resault by doing a protein drink 30 mins before lifting and while at the gym I drink isopure protein water. Then when I get hom shower then eat a small meal. I have been uping my weight and reps pretty fast.

All I am taking right now is my Vitamins my doctor wants me to take. They just upped my protein intake to 100-130g a day because of my workout routine. Other then that none. I was just wondering if any ones is taking anything else or allowed to take anything else.

I also have a few cook books by chef dave. He does recipes for after surgery too. Ill start posting some recipes as I cook them up and able to take pictures.

I love isopure. I drink one a day. I stick to grape and coconut the most. Yes the do smeel bad just dont smell them. Any type of protein drink is going to smell bad. if you can drink them for a few days the after taste will start to go away.

I might have done the math wrong. I checked it twice but that doesn’t mean I didn’t do it wrong. Ill takes the title down till I check it again. but what I did was add up all the calories for each ingredient and divided it by ten because I cut it into ten pieces. Like for the Beans the can was 8 servings. So I used a half a can so when I took the calorie part from the can I timed it by 4 because I used for servings. I did this with everything. I did the same thing with the protein. I figured that was the right way to do it. Ill do the math again when I get home and see what I get. Does this sound right to you?
