cosmetic surgery and your lady bits
Linda 66 replied to Globetrotter's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I've never worn shape wear/spans,I wouldn't even know how to buy it. There are sooo many of them on the market, who knows what's best? One area that bothers me (well maybe more lol) my upper inner thigh...there is like a ripple/fold/crease/flap, I don't know what it would be called, but I have to wear a skirted bathing suit because of it and I can even see it through pants...if I wore skin tight jeans (like I used to when I had lapband), you couldn't see it but I notice it in everything else -
What is a daily food counter site?
Linda 66 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello all, I hope you are all doing well I'm sorry I know "daily food counter" isn't the correct term, I just forgot what it's called. I read here and there on the boards that some are using this to keep track of calories and such and I think it would be a good idea for me because I have not clue what my intake is a day. Thank you! -
We were sleeved the same day. I'm sorry that you're feeling uncomfortable with gas. I can drink water fine (though I never get it all in cause its boring), I don't need to "sip" but I don't guzzle either. You can only sip? You're doing great with your weight loss!
-
LoL I love the terms. My answer...I really don't think it will. I lost 120 was skinny had tummy tuck and my Va J J was still fat. My husband sometimes grabs it in his fist and says, "play ball"! Cause its meaty and fits in his whole fist smh. I'm hoping there is a cosmetic surgery for this so I can have a tiny cooch lol. Thank God it's not noticeable in clothes. Btw, I don't get insulted when my husband does that to me, we both laugh.

cosmetic surgery and your lady bits
Linda 66 replied to Globetrotter's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I'm going to speak bluntly here. I'm not sure about the camel toe thing, but I had a body lift yrs ago and though my tummy was tight, the triangle (front view) is very fat and puffy and its lower than it should be. You can actually grab it like a baseball and fill your hand. I had my surgery in Costa Rica so I won't go back there to find out why this wasn't taken care of or IF it even can. When I lose this new found weight though, I will go find a plastic surgeon and see what can be done. I will be watching this topic now to see what others can add. good luck to you! -
March sleevers.. Progress?
Linda 66 replied to sweetmomma05's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved 3/19 and feeling discouraged too. I lost about 22 lbs. I lost 20 lbs the first 2 weeks then nothing. I had nooooooo interest in eating or drinking anything the first 3 wks post surgery and if I ate 3 spoons of something for the day that was a lot. I have to start weighing myself wkly to see where I'm at because I've only been on the scale twice since surgery ( scales has always been depressing to me). I MUST admit when I got my appetite back at night I would eat 2-3 sourdough pretzels ate night (carb addict) and they are 100 calories each and a Marino ice which is 100 calories but full of sugar. I figured it woad okay because I barely ate more than a few crackers a day with Peanut Butter on it. NOW, no more pretzels or Snacks of any kind in my house ( in the garbage pail they went) and seriously only going to be working on Protein and extremely low carbs. ..I was never really a snack person and I can still do without. I love carbs/pasta and not a meat eater but I will force myself to start eating it. something is scary to me though and I will soon post it in the forum...I feel hungry ALOT, growling stomach and the feeling of need to eat (yes I told the dr and nut this) I'm supposed to east 3 meals and 3 healthy snacks a day...I never eat all of that, perhaps this is why I'm friggin hungry lol. I do feel like I can eat a lot at one sitting and that makes me nervous. For instances, last night I had 3/4 of a black bean veggie burger with a slice of cheese on it w/ pickles and saute onions on 1/2 a wheat tortilla. 3/4?!!! Isn't that a lot?? My nut said, I should be able to eat 4-6 oz at a meal and take no more than 30 minutes to eat. That prob was about 4 oz of food. To me, that was a lot of food for someone that had surgery. I had the lapband for 7 yrs and 2 bites of something like that would have me choking and puking in the bathroom. So I was thinking I would have the same OR MORE restriction with the sleeve. In case anyone is interested, I lost over 120lbs with my band, was healthy (size 5 at 5'7") until it slipped and I had it removed. I'm not saying one is better than the other because God knows with the lapband in the end I was extremely sick from it slipping. I'm sorry, I'm just running on here typing away. I guess I just needed to talk to someone like me who is slowly shedding. I went to my dr this past Thursday, and he was content with my loss and said not to be hard on myself. Like I said...I tossed all the tempting things in my house Andy I'm going to up the protein and make much better choices...I promise . But seriously...3/4 of a veggie burger w/ the works?!! Smh lol. Be well my fellow sleevers and SUCCESSFUL! -
Try dr. George ferzli he has a few offices and he's an excellent surgeon. Good luck

3/19- doing okay here. As of last week I'm down 25 lbs. I didn't weigh myself this week. Harddddddd time drinking water only because I have no desire for fluids or food. I never get all my water in and lucky if I eat 2x's a day and that's forcing myself. This has always happened to me post previous surgeries. Besides the eating and drinking situation, I get head spins now (6 days) when I lay down or roll over in bed (vertigo)? Other than that all is well. I hope everyone else is fine.
-
When I woke this morning to ready my kids for school, I was fine. I layed back down for an hour and took a nap. When I woke up I turned from laying on my side to lay on my back...the room started to spin! I closed my eyes and still felt the spin then after a minute it stopped. A few minutes later I turned on my side again and the room spun again. I waited and it stopped. Then when I slowly got from a laying down position to sit up, the room started spinning again . Since then I am taking it slow because I am feeling nervous about this. I'm not feeling sick or having any aches or pains but don't know what cause this. I was sleeved March 19th. Can anyone relate or have any input? Thank you

March Sleevers Where are You
Linda 66 replied to GrannyGoes4it's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Does anyone (besides me) have no interest AT ALL in eating? I can barely get all my fluids in (I been getting about 1/2 in). I told my nut this at my post op visit she said,"concentrate on hydration" and instead of eating 6 small meals I could put a teaspoon of something in my mouth every hr (which I don't do). I can't be the only one, can I? -
How are fellow March 19/20 sleevers doing?
Linda 66 replied to WeightStruggle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is the first post from me prior to surgery. I was sleeved 3/19 and stayed 3 nights in hospital. Blood pressure was high heart rate was low. All day on day 2 I had nausea and puking up black ( old blood) which was normal smh. I was afraid to leave the hospital lol I thought they could take care of me God forbid anything. I'm a chicken lol. Since I'm home I force myself 2 drink perhaps 16 oz a day but starting tomorrow I will get on track. I have nooooooo desire to eat but that always is the case with me after surgery. I had a cpl ice pops, isopure protein, some oatmeal and that's all. I have no interest in getting on scale till I get staples out this week. As far as BM! I had one Thursday and since then if I have to pee I have a little Very very little diarrhea tmi but sharing. I had my drain out and honestly for me it was fine...just odd. Anyone sleeping on their side yet? I hate to sleep on my back I prefer side or belly. My worst pain has been my neck and shoulders I don't know if that is gas or because I kept falling asleep sitting up. And my head would hang lol. I hope we all continue feeling better and do awesome! -

DeeJack, I am going to Lutheran medical center in Brooklyn New York. I am in Staten Island New York so it's about 20 minutes without New York traffic. You know what I was going to post tonight on the boards....? Of course you don't lol. Ive read quite a few people that go to Mexico for the sleeve are out and shopping a day or two later!! Do they get some pixie magic dust or something because I can't imagine anyone shopping after surgery. Perhaps you too will be shopping dee jack good luck!

Tomorrow is the day! Scared & excited!
Linda 66 replied to WeightStruggle's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'll be sleeved tomorrow also. Prayers to us all! Ex bander here -
Jenah, loI shake and cry when they do the IV while telling them "I'm sorry". Shelly, omG chapstick gas x and a pillow for sure thanks! Shannflo, I definitely will be hydrating like crazy today Oh, don't forget to take a face, back, front and profile picture of yourself today. I took pics yesterday whith ugly brown sweats on and my husbands tight white undershirt on. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing this stuff but I figures brown would show my real body because black makes you look thinner and a tight white undershirt reallllly shows you off. OmG, I look horrible in the pics but I want to see a real body image. I hide those same clothes away and every month now on the same date I will pull them back on to see the differences each time

Today is, Day before surgery!!! My brain is in overdrive! Good luck and prayers going out to all pre op, post op & tomorrow ops I'm holding my daughters tighter today and loving them and my family with every ounce of myself. Everything has to be perfect between us all, because I don't want regrets. I wrote letters to my daughters too. I know the surgery will go fine and I'll be perfectly fine because of this surgery but are any of you being a nut job like me today? I read on this topic yesterday that someone said something like, "as long as the IV gets done it'll be smooth sailing". OMG, I been thinking of the IV constantly AND when they come constantly to draw blood...I am such a chicken! I have a can get a shot and I have tattoos but when it comes to going into a vein, I get weak in the knees. Did I read correctly that some have to prepare their bowels? Like what, enemas? That's not a requirement here, so I was just thinking how different some requirements are. Anyone have a list for bag packing? I'm going to be doing that today as well as, food, drink and vitamin shopping. I saved all this for today to keep my mind busy. I will surely be posting again today lol. Possssssitives thoughts everyone. My prayers go out to us all!
