Mcdonalds Grilled Chicken Snack Wrap?
TakeCareGirl replied to mattr2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
After reading this thread the first time, I went to the McD's website. They have customizable nutrition information, so you can take elements of the item out and get the nutrition information, for instance the wraps minus the tortilla. I'm not on regular food for 3 weeks and we're trying to avoid fast food, but I did look up several items and put this information in a file in my Evernote app for future reference/emergencies. * McDonalds honey mustard snack wrap grilled minus tortilla - 100 cal, 4 carbs, 13g Protein * McDonalds Mac snack wrap minus tortilla - 190 calories, 3 carbs, 11g protein * McDonalds Angus deluxe snack wrap minus tortilla - 270 calories, 5 carbs, 16g protein * McDonalds Chipotle BBQ snack wrap minus tortilla - 100 calories, 5 carbs, 13g protein * McDonalds sausage biscuit minus biscuit - 170 calories, 1 carb, 7g protein * McDonalds kids size (Happy Meal) fries - 100 calories, 13 carbs, 1g protein * McDonalds mcnuggets 4 count - 270 calories, 18 carbs, 14g protein -

TakeCareGirl replied to michelleooo513's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My company requires you take 1 week of vacation prior to short term disability kicking in. So I was approved for the one week of vacation plus 3 additional weeks on short-term, however I'm feeling good and will go back after 3 weeks total. -

Congrats! -
Hang in there! I have also grieved for my food (surgery 9/25). I am a big cook, food blog reader and love to try new recipes. I have been scanning Pinterest these days looking @ my food "p0rn" and adding recipes to my recipe manager. With time I know this fascination will end.

Don't know if you can have lettuce yet? But if you have Jimmy Johns in your area, they have the best "unwich" - it's any of their sandwiches wrapped in lettuce. I love their totally tuna unwich and am looking forward to having that when my diet allows. -

Meal Planning For Single Parents With Young Children - Need Suggestions!
TakeCareGirl replied to funkeechiggen's topic in Regular foods (stage 4)
I am a single parent to a six year old daughter and am 8 days post op. I had the same concerns about prep during this phase where I wouldn't be making a meal for both of us. My daughter is a pretty picky eater, so she's limited in what she likes - she loves meat and Pasta. So my sister was here helping out and got a rotisserie chicken we have been able to use for the Protein part of her meal. Other nights we did pasta (made several servings at once) with a basic pasta sauce. I broke up a package of pork chops in single bags so I could cook one at a time and one lasts her for 2-3 meals. I also did a batch of brown rice to go with that. She is most picky about veggies, mostly only eating peas and carrots, so that covered her veggie. Good luck! -

I don't know if it's good but DaVinci also makes a sugar free rootbeer syrup. Perhaps the extract would be better - sounds good!

Just Got Approved To Eat Salad And Raw Veggies
TakeCareGirl replied to SleeveShelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm so jealous, enjoy for me. My NUT just said yesterday that it would be 3 months before I had raw veggies and salad. I am dreaming of spinach salad with sliced almonds, gorgonzola crumbles and craisins.
