  1. I didn't experience any of that. I never lost energy & I am averaging 400 calories a day. I am anal about getting my 70-80 g protein & at least 64 oz fluids! Are you taking any vitamins?

    Possibly Allergic To Whey Protein

epattys-Benedryl over the counter hasn't stopped my itching at all. I am miserable & I have huge welts & scratches all over me. I may try something called Raw Protein. I will see if doing the eggwhite Proteins stops the itching so I know if it is that for sure or not. Alithinos-I am a tiny bit lactose intolerant & I haven't drank milk in over 40 years. I don't drink almond or soy milk either. I did go to Vitamin Shoppe last week & bought a couple sample packs of Jay Robb's. I tried the dreamsicle one & it was ok. I didn't buy any of his egg protein but I may now since they have more protein in them than the eggwhite protein powder I just bought. I am not a big fan of greek yogurt-it is too thick & has too strong of a taste but I have forced myself to eat it mixed with flavored extracts or crystal light. It has alot of carbs & I try to be conservative with the carbs. I just can't stand this itching anymore. My arms & legs are tore up like I was attacked by a wild cheetah or something, lol.

    Isopure....no.

I have tried the grape frost, the banana pineapple & the apple melon & I liked all of them.
  4. Awesome! I know it will change my life & I can't wait to start to see results. I am 11 days post-op! I also can't wait to shop in the regular clothes size areas & not have to have a 2x or 3x. You are a true testament to what it should be like!!!! Thank you for sharing.
  5. Is your addiction in your head? I ask this because I am 11 days post-op & I have not wanted ANYTHING! I have to force myself to have the protein drinks as I just don't want to eat at all. I have seen food commercials, been around people who were eating Subway or Mickey D's, etc. & nothing....nothing looks good or smells good. Are you seeing a therapist? If not, you might want to find one that deals with food issues. I also had a good talk with myself before my surgery about being 100% compliant after doing something so radical as having most of my stomach removed. I will NOT fail at this. Nothing tastes that good to destroy what I have done. I wish you the best & you WILL & CAn do this!!!
  6. I didn't tell many people before I had the surgery for that very reason-there is always going to be naysayers & they mean well but don't realize the effect it can have on you. Of course there is risk with ANY surgery so I just chose to wait until after to say anything.

Anyone Not Loosing Weight Right After Surgery

My PCP told me your body just went through something traumatic & you won't see results the 1st week. She said trust the process-it WILL come off. I lost 3 lbs the 1st week-my surgery was the 12th & I also thought it was strange but what she said makes sense.

    Lighthead?

It is imperative that you get 64 oz of fluid-you will become dehydrated if you don't. That can account for the lightheadedness.
  12. I am constantly sipping water or having a shake or soup...it is necessary to get all of it in. Since day one I have gotten in my 70-80 g protein & my 64 oz of water
  13. I am 9 days post op & I am doing protein shakes, cream soups, pureed soups, sf popsicles & sf jello
  14. I am 5 days post-op & I had absolutely no pain at all. In fact, the biggest issue was an allergic reaction to the tape they used to hold the IV in place. I was up a few hours after I got to my room & took a walk around the floor. I am walking every day & I will be back to work Wed. I had an ankle fusion done in 2010 & this surgery was 100% easier. They did find a large hernia, which they repaired while they were in there. I am doing quite well & very excited about this new chapter in my life. I finally feel like I can be normal. Good luck to you-you will be fine.

    Getting Very Frustrated

My surgery is also scheduled for the 12th but I don't start my 7 day full liquid diet til the 5th. How come you are already on day 5 of it? Are you getting it done in Mexico?
