A good surgeon with a good weight loss and maintenance program would never berate you for this or make you fell like a failure in anyway. Is it possible you are wrong about how he will act? Is it possible you are projecting your feelings about your self on him? I say go to your appt and tell him what your doing and how you feel. Let him know how upset you were at the idea of not making that goal. See if they can give you some ideas to change your routine up a bit. Then if his response is to berate you....you stand up dust yourself off tell him to PISS OFF and find a new dr. But if you like your surgeon and his program has been a good fit so far I doubt that will be the case. You are doing great!!!! And maybe his projected numbers are a little off.

I knew when I saw the name of the topic it could/would be touchy....I have a lot more to say on this topic, but I am also just gonna SMH....and move on. I know it will do no good. -
Ppl really this OP put this in a general talk forum. You saw the title of the post....why read it or comment if you didn't like it or agree with it. Can't we all just get along? I mean we all live in the real world. We all know others don't always agree with our beliefs. We all have the right to believe or not believe whatever we want to. Live and let live.....

Counseling. For him, for you, as a cpl for more reasons than just the issue with intimacy but how he is dealing with your child and his stress. The sex seems to be the least of your worries if he is having issues dealing with Autism. -

I don't think being married you would qualify for Medicaid. You have to include his income and the fact you are on his insurance I think would disqualify you. And if you don't tell the truth about your circumstances and its found out you could be charged with fraud. At least that's how it is in the state I live in. You really need to think about this before going down that road. I am sure you can work this out with your husband. Just talk to him. Really make him understand how you feel. And if he doesn't support you quit talking to him about it and just do it. That's how I had to start out and then hubby fell in line when he realized I was serious. Call your insurance find out what your full benefits are. What your deductible is and if you will have any out of pocket. Get it all lined out and then go talk to him. Have a plan all laid out then show it to him. Maybe seeing you put all this thought into it will show him how serious you are. Sit down write out what your thinking and feeling. How it really truly feels to be over weight. And if you can't tell him these thing verbally show him what you have written. Make him understand. I hope this works out for you if this is the path you choose. -
If your insurance specifically tells you weight loss surgery isn't covered...
SuNMooNStaRS816 replied to Mel1071's topic in Insurance & Financing
Before you opt into a plan at the college find out if their insurance even pays for WLS. Would be a shame to opt into it...pay those premiums then find out they do not pay for it either. Unfortunately, a lot of employers still do not think this is a necessary benefit. It's a shame because it would in the long term cut costs of medical care. -

If your insurance carrier tells you it's not covered then its not covered. But it is your employer that decides what benefits it will pay for and the requirements for that. -
Depressed or maybe just aggravated

Have you lost 28 lbs in 8 weeks before without the sleeve? If you have been in a stall you are probably losing inches. Be patient with your self....you are gonna do this....just keep working the plan and know its gonna come off....remember you didn't put the weight on over night and its not gonna come off over night. 28 lbs is awesome!!! You are doing wonderful!!! -

This has turned out so awesome. As everyone else has said I would love a copy of that. If I have to pay for it that's fine. It's awesome and I also like to see it all written down in front of me.

Which Bariatric vitamins, minerals and other dietary supplements do YOU take ?
SuNMooNStaRS816 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
You really should talk to your doctor. Too much potassium can cause death and that being said you shouldn't count on MFP to be accurate. Potassium is only to be taken with lab work done and verifying you need it and prescribed by a doctor. You should never decide I need potassium and I think maybe I will start taking some. It can cause cardiac arrest and possibly death. Serious business.... -

Why I Post aka That guy's an A Hole
SuNMooNStaRS816 replied to Paul11011's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Paul, I could not have said it better myself. I want to be successful and want everyone of my fellow VSG'rs to be successful also. It makes me sad, mad, and down right exasperated sometimes when right out of surgery ppl are posting about eating the same crap that got them where they are. I don't get it. There are so many ppl that need or want this surgery and can't get it and here they are throwing their chance at a new life away. Of course no one is perfect and we will all slip or have a bad day. And I will always offer support and an honest opinion and maybe a kick in the pants if someone needs it. Plz if I ever get to surgery and come back asking "are you sure xyz isn't ok to have now?" (When every single one of us has gotten a well thought out and very self explanatory diet plan to follow) Someone plz pop me upside the head!!!! Anyway thank you for the post and know you are not the only one that feels this way.... -
