It's absolutely not the easy way out. You are so close (9 days!!). If this is what you want (need) to do, then stick with it.

Hey - he cares enough to not hurt you but there are plenty of other things you could be doing

Well, if he runs screaming from the room, you'll know it's a problem. If he's happy to keep bonking - obviously no issues
But....have you considered a male escort? You can pre-explain anything and you get what you need, without relationship issues
-
No - but I was given Heparin. Sounds like you might be allergic

I had surgery on the 14th' date=' went home the 16th. No nausea, but they always made sure I had anti-nausea meds. Sore! Like someone else said, feel like I've dove a million situps! And still haven't pooped. BUT . . I am diabetic, was on a combination oral med and a small bit of nightly insulin before surgery. HAVE NOT NEEDED ANY DIABETES MEDS SINCE MY LAST DAY IN THE HOSPITAL! Completely normal blood sugars ever since, I am so happy!!!!![/quote']That's brilliant what a fantastic start

No wonder everyone is so confused
Although mine doesn't allow full foods until about week 8 either.

I have Clear Liquids 2 days, full liquids the next two days and then purée for 3 weeks until I move into soft foods at the week 4. On my acceptable list (6 days post surgery) is pureed fish, chicken, lamb, pork etc. I really feel for you guys having to do liquids for so long. I would struggle.

Yes, I am going to get some unflavoured Protein too. It surely has to be easier to add a bit to everything rather than trying to choke down shakes.
I am also only managing 32oz of Water. I don't think that's too bad only being less than a week out. I hope by the end of week 2 that I can get the required 64oz.

Hi all' date=' just an update... I'm starting week 4, purée stage but am hopeless with sticking with it! Nothing too terrible, I have had tiny bits of fish, really well chewed and had no dramas. Struggling to get Water in but found I can get 1ltr iced tea in easy!!! Was really worried bout Protein and bought some powder which has 34g Protein per 250ml which is half my rdi...Scotty[/quote']
The kids chicken nuggets smelled SO good. I wasn't tempted, but I'm starting to realise how my brain will need to be re-trained.
I'm going to buy some unflavoured protein. The drinks make me want to gag now. And so do the caramel jerseys I used to eat by the handful....thank goodness.

Ok, since we're talking poop - used a microlax yesterday (charming), which worked immediately. This morning had a bm as normal. Great start to the day I was afraid of leaving it too long

I went to hospital alone and was quite happy. The first day there was no way I could think about anything beyond myself, day 2 I was still spaced out and spent it and day 3 sleeping.< /p>

Day 4 was the start of my purée diet as well. I can't manage much either. I tried a mashed egg. Ate about 3/4 and its back up into my chest. Should have stopped at half.

I'm only down 5lbs since Wednesday.....blahhhhh the story of my life
Yeah, but you might keep losing and I could hit a looong stall..... It could all even out in the end

Wow' date=' Shelley, you sure have a strong exercise program....I have never ever Been a keen exerciser! Maybe that will change once I lose more weight, and my short legs can actually carry the body attached to them!Gosh! Ozeedonkee, you are keen to try the salmon....I was told ONLY anything that will go through a straw smoothly, for the first week. Tomorrow I will move to the next phase, which I have to check in my dietry booklet.[/quote']
Well, he told me to move to purée over the weekend. And I pureed it to within an inch of it's life I'll start eating vegies mostly

I'm making a real effort to get in 1L (32oz) of Water . I'm finding myself quite tired and weak and know it will be worse if I don't get at least that amount. And from today aiming for 2 Protein shakes......yuck. But I am lucky that I had no soreness from the tube.
Think I'll do a trip to the chemist to find some type of enema.
I am down 13lbs already. Is everyone else seeing this type of loss?

As I went in to theatre the anesthesiologist said "some people come out and ask if the operation was done, others feel nauseous and horrible."
Sounds like you got lucky!

I was doing some strange hours in the hospital, but at home I'm out - that's it. Dead.

It's quite peculiar, isn't it? No hunger and no inclination to eat... Had my op on Wed 14th, out on Sat. I've been feeling quite weak, so tonight I pureed about 40g salmon. Fast forward 2 hours and I still hadn't finished! Ah well, back in the fridge for tomorrow nights tea. Since my op I've lost 5.2kg. I'm making sure I get at least 1L of Water too.

Ah crackling ....yummo. Enjoy

Yes, me too. Pre surgery I liked room temp Water, but now it goes down much better cold. I keep refilling my drink bottle with ice cubes. I don't imagine it can hurt anything.
