Hi. I'm going in next week for surgery with Dr Greenslade at Greenslopes. Has anyone any experience with him? Thanks
-
I know from past experience, if I deny myself, I will binge big time and go completely off the rails. I don't view the sleeve as a diet, but I make conscious decisions about what goes into my mouth.....and for the first time in my life I'm happy to do that. If someone chooses to eat foods which I would choose not to eat - that's not my business. If someone asks for thoughts or advice I will say if I think its a good idea (or not), but I won't berate them. I'm not perfect.

I have really short hair - and love it. If/when the loss happens, I'll use a bit more product if I need to. A comb over

I take liquid vitamins. I just couldn't stomach the tablets. Quite happy - it's easy to take and tastes good -

31 and Never worn a 2 piece bathing suit (may need some plastics for that. 3 kids is horrendous on the skin) Never appreciated just how good I looked in my late teens/early twenties Never had the confidence to wear what I liked without worrying what everyone else thought. I'm over the worrying, now just need to fit into the clothes I like Never been parasailing I was going to say- never had the strength to do what is best for ME (vs everyone else). But I had my sleeve despite my husband ......so made a start on this one

It took me about a week to be able to take 32oz, at 2 weeks out I was managing 64oz. At 8 weeks I get 64oz plus some. You WILL get there

OMG Did I just screw everything up?
ozeedonkee replied to mysunflower621's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, after reading all the "you must not ever use NSAIDS" comments on here I specifically asked my surgeon about it. He said it's fine as long as it's not long term (over a week or so), that they could cause irritation to the stomach. -
I just like to soak them in Water for several hours, add a splash of flavour, and drink. Apparently, according to several members of my family, that just makes me plain weird

I hate this surgery.

I'm a sugar addict too and the only way I can deal with it is to completely avoid the evil stuff. I don't even use artificial sweeteners. But I have been very lucky that after my sleeve, I found it is just too sweet. So sweet just the smell really turns me off. So I'm not going back there because I'm afraid one bite of a sugary processed snack will have me wanting more. I try to avoid processed/refined foods altogether.

I watched this a while back and I've been juicing ever since. I do the same as he did. I find it is particularly good if I'm due to eat but really don't want to. The juice fills me up. I don't know how to add it to myfitnesspal as I don't track.

I can't either. It's quite strange

I don't know.... I don't see why not. This thread was started by me - and I was very happy with Dr Greenslade.

Telling you that "you'll be sorry" is a silly statement. She can't possibly know how you will feel after surgery. After researching, if this is what you really want to do for yourself, go for it. I can tell you that I have not been "sorry" once since my surgery.
