    Whats On Your Bucket List?

And I really want to rock my own style - not settle for whatever I can find that fits. AND I want to set a good example for my daughter - health, fitness and self confidence

    Whats On Your Bucket List?

I want to 1) get fit, head to America and compete in a pack burro race! 2) never be reluctant to take the kids swimming 3) learn to dance - salsa perhaps 4) generally start living!

Was Anyone Not Put On Pre Op Diet?

I don't have do do a pre-op diet either. BMI 34 I think. He said my BMI was not high enough to need to do pre-op. But I'm going to do the same - try to kick sugar and carbs, get the worst over.

Ugh. Some of those protein shakes are reeeevolting! And expensive if you don't like them.
  8. On my visit to surgeon I was chatting to a lady in a wheel chair. She told me the sleeve was absolutely the best thing she ever did. I didn't get the chance to talk in depth with her - but it must be possible! She looked really great. Can you do any light weights/resistance? Get In the pool?

I'm hoping as my diet improves and weight is lost, that my hormones might settle a bit and the cravings slow down a little!

Hi Susie - glad your op went well and you are coping ok! Ask the nurses for something for your dry mouth. There are products they can use. It might make you a bit more comfortable. Hang in there!
  11. Ok nyxa. I'm going to respect your opinion and leave it at that.
  12. Congrats! You look great
  13. I briefly mentioned VSG to one of my sisters. I got a very negative response. I have chosen that I won't be sharing my decision to have a VSG until AFTER it's done. I know my family love me - but I've made the decision. I believe it's an informed decision, and it's not up for discussion. It's normal that they would be concerned for you. But ultimately, only you can decide what is best for you.
  14. That sounds like me! And it's worse when I get with my family - my parents cooking is SO GOOD

8 Years And This Is What Happens?

Maybe he's scared. You've taken a big step. You're going to lose weight. You're going to start feeling better about yourself. You're going to have more confidence. And that scares the crap out of him! It sounds (from what you say) that he needs you to be dependent on him, and now that things may be changing, he just can't deal with it. If that's the case, you're better off without him. Has he sabotaged your weight loss efforts before??

No - he's not! He's very dry. But I think I got a smile during the consult I liked him - he's very direct without being condescending. It's reassuring that you felt he was professional. No chocolate??? Whoa that's tough
