The last couple of days my throats been burning and when I drink either my water or shake, I have lots of gurgly noises from stomach to my throat. I'm 14 days post op. Not sure what to make of this. I will call my Dr. tomorrow but has anyone else had this? I did take a Pepcid before and it seemed to help.

I had non stop sneezing the day I came home from the hospital and it lasted for three days. Not sure what that was about.

I'M ONE WEEK POST OP AND THE CENTER OF MY BELLY FEELS BLOATED STILL. ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS NORMAL?

Yeah I overdid it yesterday. I was shopping and felt it after a while. Came home and put feet up.

OK good glad it's normal. Lol does anyone's belly hurt still. Mine is still sore and I get a little pinch every once in a while.

I like ricotta with a little sauce. My Dr said we can have a very flaky fish like tilapia or swai. Just need to mush with fork. Haven't tried yet.

Yep I found that one also. Love them both. I also saw good recipes on low carb diner website.

In my obsession of finding WLS friendly recipes I came across a great website called BariatricFoodie.Blogspot.Com I found really good recipes and tips and the women who writes it is funny. Can't wait to try the recipes when I can eat "normal". It really gave me hope that I'll eat a good meal again! Oh and there's a Facebook page too.. Bariatric Foodie. She wrote a book on surviving the holidays after WLS which I think I need to read!

Hey! Anyone else sleeving on 10/2? Starting my two week liquid diet on 9/18. Hope I make it through!

I'm not finding many puree stage recipes that I can eat (5days post op) I tried puree chicken in broth and it grossed me out. It totally liquefied and I felt like I just cremated the chicken. Maybe I'll do better with veggie purees. Anyone have any suggestions?

My doctor told me no fruits for three months. Too much sugar. Definitely don't eat potatoes with gravy. Try sf jello but unfortunately u must drink a lot water and protein a lot right now.

Did u have your surgery on 10/3?

I am officially sleeved as of Thursday! The hospital overnight sucked because they woke me up every two hours to walk around the unit, take vitals and blood work. But it's a necessary evil! Yesterday I was drowsy and sore and slept most of the day when I got home. Today, I took a nice shower and feel the soreness decreasing!! Trying to get my protein shake in but kinda feels weird going down plus I'm still gassy from the surgery. Taking little sips non stop! Happy it's over with and looking forward to a healthy happy me in the near future!

I can't wait to be in the 100s again. It's been years!! 8 days until I'm sleeved!! Congrats!!

After almost eating myself to death with multiple last meals, I have finally made peace with food and am ready to begin this new chapter in the morning. I was supposed to start this past Thurs but wasn't ready. I stocked up on all the allowed drinks /foods and look forward to the near future!! Wish me luck!
