  1. Yep taking the Prilosec.. Haven't tried the isopure yet, I'll try to get some of that tomorrow. I was able to get quite a bit of Water in before the vomiting, but after it just seemed too heavy for my stomach. Hoping tomorrow is better. Thanks for all the suggestions. At this point I'll try anything! I'll try to find the Protein wafers but the closest Sams is an hours drive 1 way. Maybe they'll have something similar at Walgreens. Again thanks for the support!!
  2. Happened after surgery but was on zofran.. Was very bad when I had the sinus infection, but got better as infection cleared.. It's been on going but I've been able to control w meds.. Doc wants me to try to find a way without meds AND insurance is only allowing me to get 10 zofran pills for the entire month!

    Food Porn ( Graphic)

1 month post op I am sooo craving Chinese food... chicken fried rice or orange chicken!! I'm afraid to try it bc I am afraid it will trigger dumping syndrome which I seem to trigger frequently. Its funny.. Things I think will trigger it don't and things I don't think will end up triggering it fast! Today it was a Protein drink Oh and not the fast food Chinese... Real Chinese! Love the little place I have in town.. Best Chinese ever!
  4. I am 1 month post op today and I definitely get dumping syndrome! My surgeon says that sleeves do get it but not as much as bypassers. If I eat something too fatty or even too greasy I spend the next 30-45 minutes so sick to my stomach that I wish I could throw up the food, accompanied with feeling like my body is in a sauna.. Hot and sweaty and over all it just sucks. Most of the time if something is too sugary it just goes thru me w the cramps and diarrhea. I've also experienced this about 4 or 5 times total since surgery. Today I tried a new Protein drink in the morning (Boost Plus) and after only 1/4 of it I was already nauseous, shakey, hot, and sweaty. Not sure if it was the sugar content or the added calories from the "plus" part. It is a horrible feeling and I hope the symptoms lessen a bit as time passes, but I have already learned a few foods that I will never try again.. And am probably better off without them!

    Haven't Even Started Exercise Yet

Finally over the sinus infection and can breathe again!! Getting in as much as I can stand right now.. Granted its more of things that are a bit taxing rather than actual exercise but I'm working up to it... Broke a pretty good sweat today! So excited I can actually move rather than struggling to even get out of a chair! Good luck all!!
  6. Hi all, I had my sleeve done on 8/9/12 and have yet to start exercising. I was walking around as much as I could without being out of breath. On day 10 I developed a sinus infection which produced a lot of mucus causing quite a bit of nausea. I am still fighting the infection now.. Doc told me to rest as much as possible to try to kick the infection ASAP but I know I need to start exercising... Any suggestions on what I should start out with? And for how long? Docs advice before surgery was 30 min 3 times a week but I'm not sure if I have the strength for that yet. Thanks

What Did You Name Your Sleeve?

Sooo agree with the above posts!! Yes I have been sleeved..1 month on Sunday!! I've lost around 30 lbs.. I try to stay away from the scale so not sure on exact #... Yes it's just my stomach.. But the names make me giggle.. Will I call my stomach by a name in public?? Probably not.. But it doesn't hurt to laugh and have fun with it. Btw might have to name mine "Lifesaver"

    August Sleevers..what Is The Progress

Sleeved on 8/9 1. Currently eating the things that I can keep down.. I've been cleared for anything as long as I chew very well.. I do eat a lot of chicken type meals.. I'll be honest, I've had a lot of Pasta but due to complications its all I could keep down for a while. I try to keep Water with me at all times.. But I can only get in around 40oz a day so far... Slowly increasing 2. What are your activity levels/ energy, and if pain, nausea.. Ect. Energy is down slightly all day. I do get exhausted very quickly when doing anything physical. No pain in stomach area unless I over eat.. Still working on figuring out when I'm full and when to stop. Slight pain in left side of my chest when I breathe BUT I also had a hiatal hernea repaired that I didn't know about during surgery. Developed a bad Sinus infection on day 10 after sugery and am just now getting over it.. Still have the terrible cough. I also have an auto immune disorder in which I have chronic hives as a symptom and any stress makes it worse so the stress on my body has brought that out majorly since I developed the sinus infection. 3. How much weight loss. I'm down 28 lbs as of today!!! I'm curious to see others responses! I keep reminding myself that my complications could be much much worse but it's still a pain in the butt! S
