Thanx!! My personal goal is 132 lbs, I am 5'5" but would honestly be ok with 135-145 lbs. I just wanted around 130 lbs to stay a bit under in case I gained some back. I started at 249 lbs so that is 117 lbs total to lose if I lose it all!!

I was 5 months post op 1-21-13, a few days ago. I have lost a total of 66 lbs, 10 lbs of that was pre op. Some lose faster, some slower. In answer to gonnabeaskinny's question....10 lbs a month each month would be awesome but as you can see for me it's not been that way. I lost 22 lbs the first month, 12 lbs the 2nd month, 9 lbs the 3rd month, 9 lbs the 4th month and now 4 lbs the 5th month. It slowed down for me. Each person is different, depending on metabolism. I am thankful to keep losing, regardless for sure!!

Valentine's Day Challenge 2013
RareGold3000 replied to RareGold3000's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well, I am in a 3 + week stall, so not sure if I'm going to lose the 12 lbs I thought I would when I first started this post. I thought I'd get to 173 by Valentine's Day from 185. BUT, so far only 2 of those lbs came off!! GOTTA LOVE stalls LOL!! Keep on keeping on for everyone though, cause either way, WE are amazing!! -

Thanx for the lovely compliment!! I use Citrical gummies for my calcium (2 gummies per day) Alive gummies for my daily multivitamins (3 gummies per day) and Celebrate B12 Sublingual (3 X per week). I used "Pure Protein" is the brand name and it's whey protein. I liked the Vanilla Cream the best but they have chocolate too. Not sure if they sell it at all stores or not, it's in my local grocery store.

Gummie Multi Vitimans...Thoughts anyone?
RareGold3000 replied to T'snewstart's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take "Alive" multi vitamins daily that are gummies and I also have "Citrical" gummies for my calcium. My B12 is sublingual. As far as I know the gummies are fine for sleeve patients. My surgeon and nutritionist ok'd me to use these. -
FMLA/time off question
RareGold3000 replied to blessedbeauty85's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was off work for 4 weeks, since my job is not a desk job. My FMLA paperwork that the surgeon signed was for 4 weeks. They suggested that time frame at my first appt with him. As many people will say here, 2 weeks is good if your job is not too physical or strenuous. -
You look fantastic!! Thanx for sharing, and much continued success!!

What is the leak test?
RareGold3000 replied to sleevinitallbehind's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ask your surgeon if he/she even does one. Not all surgeons do them after the surgery. My surgeon tests for leaks while you are on the table, under anesthesia, and doesn't make you have one after that. -
What vitamins are you taking?
RareGold3000 replied to latice19's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Citrical 2 per day for calcium supplement, and Alive multivitamin 3 per day. They are both gummie vitamins. I, AT FIRST, had the chewable chalky vitamins, what a waste, I couldn't handle the tartness or chalkiness of them after surgery!! I'm sure you'll find the ones that are right for you!! -
Sorry, I'm not sure if it would be ok or not. I was just told at my 3 month post op two weeks ago that I could now have a drink if I wanted, but I still haven't. I originally was told to wait 6 months before I had surgery. I'm sure someone on the site will get back to you having drank after a month.
