Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

I am one month out today and I have lost 27 lbs. I have to tell you something amazing. My sons birthday was Oct. 9th. There is 3/4 of a chocolate fudge cake left and I could care less about it. That is a miracle. Before my surgery I would not had been able to leave it alone. I hope this continues!!

    4 Weeks Post-Op...tired!

I am a nurse also. I had the sleeve on September 11th. I still have not gone back to work yet. I am taking at least two more weeks off. There is no rest for us nurses at work..perhaps you need a little more time off!

    After Surgery Recovery

As a person who is 19 days out I feel that four days off of work is not nearly enough time to recuperate . Even with a sedentary job. I think you should be prepared to be off longer if you need.

Nursgirl I am 57,not 38 ! After two twelve hr shifts I am usually exhausted the next day. I am hoping that the weight loss will help me at work...not lugging all the weight around. Let me know how it goes for you

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

Hi September sleevers, I had surgery on the 11 th and am two weeks and one day out. I weighed myself this am and am down 23 pounds. Goodbye 300's forever! When I had surgery I was 321 . I was 345 before starting the preop diet. Yesterday at two weeks I finally got out of the house and went to the store. I was kinda scared to go by myself, but I just went slow and did ok. I had boughten some children's vitamins from Costco, chewable, but they are like eating sweet tarts..icky. I bought some children's Flintstone gummies and have to chew two everyday. Not bad at all. I am still trying to get all my protein in as all if you well know. The water is going down better now. I am eating very small amts of cottage cheese with flaked tuna mixed in it, pudding, jello, soups, retried beans with cheese, cheese sticks ( chewed well) . I have several medications that I have to take daily and I hate that one at a time deal as before I could swallow a whole handful at once. I have not started an exercise program yet. I don't feel ready to push myself that much quite yet. Maybe at week three. I admire the people that are already exercising however. I am not as emotional as the previous two weeks. I have figured out that this is probably going to work for me and look forward to the weight loss. I was a sugarholic before so am buying all sugar free. I am sure with this sleeve that if you really wanted to you could consume a lot of ice cream....but why defeat the purpose?? I am hoping that my taste buds have changed. Glad to hear most everyone is doing well. I really enjoy reading all of your posts and the wisdom you have to relay. Congrats all!
