It breaks your heart to watch what happens...I have lost almost all my friends..not because of comments made but because of what they didn't do when I was hospitalized for 5 months from complications with the sleeve....They showed me that they were not supportive at all....i dumped them all....Now my last one is trying but I knew eventually it would get difficult for her to handle it..she never ever saw me thin...I was fat when we met and she liked my personality..I made her laugh...One day she is supportive the next she says something that I don't understand..But she is like this with everything in life..negative..It is part of her, who she is.. Today she called and told me she has a pair of Pj's for me that she bought that are wayyyyyyyy to big for her and since I am only a size or 2 behind her they should fit me fine.....I just said why do you say wayyyyy to big like that..She said oh I'm sorry...I think she is funny and not funny at the same time.....Today I could get upset about the wayyy to big comment but if I let it effect me..I will have 0 friends left.....this sucks the big one!!!!!!!!!!

Lyndsey; it was not the intention removing the comments replied, as it was a matter of those who responded attacking your feelings....no one appreciates those kinds of threatening or coarse words any time and especially as you are going through such pain... I think the founder wanted to stop others like one of the followers of this post, not have the opportunity to say their 1 cents worth and hurt you more.... There is no intent to punish you hun....It was his choice to defuse it as he saw it best for your thread....It was not personal at all..... The intent was to get it back where you intended it to be and that was to tell your story and put the information out there for others to think about ...We all think we have it all figured out and we don't......no one has it all figured out... You do have support on this forum and I think about you almost every day and your family and how you are progressing.... Please rethink your desire to leave.... You need fellow sleevers to be there for you..Not the ones that make thoughtless comments but the ones that are trying to understand and care about you and your situation.....

You know..when you think you have it covered it comes out of the blue and your taken back!!!!! I don't know, maybe that is a protection for both of us...Because afterwards you always think of the right and hardest hitting things to say....I have found in life that retaliation does not work!!!!!!!!

I hear yah, they are still watching me eat as they hoover down their meals....My grand daughter and I eat about the same amount...Except meat..she eats a lot of meat.........Don't care anymore, i am who I will be as I go through this journey....Nice to see you here have not seen you in a while;

I just read this to my husband and he laughed as hard as I did..He said," wow she took that really well..I would have bopped him one"....LOL "Your going to split the walls with your beauty"..Never heard it quite like that before but he is probably right...Your beautiful already...Things can only get better and better....

Your right..that was an understatement...she does not mind saying what is on her mind..But she has been really supportive up until now.....that's okay I really wondered how long she could hold out before she found fault with me and my WLS.....

Yeah, I used to love cooking...Now most nights at my house are DIY, or something simple. I just don't enjoy cooking the way I used to. And I only did one day of baking this year at Christmas, instead of baking practically everyday from Thanksgiving to Christmas. I don't miss the kitchen or that life either I have gotten more into cooking then ever...I look at this as a new life and I certainly don't want to get bored..So I eat things I have never eaten before..like Kale salad....Never ate Kale before and I love it....Just one example.....

Careful not to do too much..You are still healing and your staples are not healed yet either..Trust me you don't want a leak, stricture or go septic...Be good to yourself a bit more and talk to your team about what they think you should start out with ans when.....K

I have milk on my cereal and drink it at the same time...Otherwise I would not get the protein I need...I don't do it any other time of the day...But we all eat soup and not think about the juice...K

That's just mean....my sister is like that too..She was always happy that I weighed more then her...she does not know about my WLS...But she does know I got sick and so I lost some weight...She just doesn't know how much...My hubby says he will have to set himself in position to catch her when she sees me for the first time in 7 years...Or he said maybe he won't catch her...I have no idea what that means...tongue in cheek!!!!!!!!!

And to us..That was normal........Isn't amazing how little our bodies really need to live on...that brings up the old saying...I eat to live not live to eat..right.....

I wasn't eating salad at your stage either... but it will come you might find you are craving it...that is why I started eating it....2 days ago I ate an entire stalk of celery...don't know why but I wanted it so bad...Very little goodness in that but it was soooooooo good!!!!!!!!Well there is some Fiber I guess!

If I eat salad it is mostly the guts too..i eat very little lettuce..Mostly cheese, bacon, pecans..you know the Protein bits...But I like to add a dense meat too to complete it.....LOL..It looks so funny on my plate..This little salad and I only get 1/2 of it down...love it!!!!!!!!!!

That will taste good....I use Syntrax nectar and drink one a day now...Love it!!!!!!!

It is a tough thing to do....the Protein drink is a help for sure...Your system will change and you will be able to handle more food soon. Once your tummy relaxes a bit and you totally heal you will get more Water in and more protein in too... I am over a year out and just realized I was only getting about 40-50 g of protein in a day..I now drink a shake every day which is 23 g of protein...so i am trying hard to fix it.... The denser the meat is the faster you are filled up.....It will get better..K

I have to say that I love it so much better...I look over my plate and try to make it look pretty and I enjoy each bite and my hubby eats the rest...But it is so natural now....And it wasn't until I thought about it on the way home from shopping that I realized I have been doing this now for a few months and it is no longer strange to me.... The first time it was huge and I couldn't believe I did it and it filled me up......Before I would have downed that so quick and been looking for more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so much nicer!!!!!!!!!!

Last night my husband yelled for me to come to the door....He was wearing my coat and he could not zipper it up...He said what the hell..I have always grabbed your coats when I was making a fast trip outside.no fuss he said .....And today I find out it can no longer happen....Holy crap he said...your smaller then me....I said yup and you couldn't fit into my pants either.. I did steal a couple men's night shirts from him though.....They are warm in this cold weather...lol

Yes I think you would hate to meet the friends I thought I had.........this has been a real learning experience for me...A painful one to boot!!!!!!!!!!
