I am about a month and a half out, I have moved to the stage in my diet where I can eat anything! I have continued to eat healthy. With in the last week, I have been have pain in my left neck and shoulder area just about after every time I eat! It is very painful! Is this normal or what could it be? Thanks so much

Help. I'm so sick of sleeping setting up that I'm getting no sleep now! Please. When were you able to lay flat or sleep on your side! I can't stand sleeping this way much longer! 1 week post op yesterday and feeling great other then getting no sleep.

My date is Aug 1st I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am and my surgery will be at 7:30 am, My hubby had his sleeve done on May 23rd and he is down an awesome 80lbs!! Yay!! I'm super excited, been on my per op for almost 2 weeks now and it is just green veggies, meats, and cheese, and any protein shakes. I'm ready!!!

My husband had His May 23rd, I go for my last apt and consult in July 16th (his surgery was about 2 weeks after that) I'm ready, he will be my biggest supporter!

I go for my consult w the Dr on the 16th of July, My hubby had his about 2 weeks after his consult, so hoping for a fast as he got him, making mine the very end of July or first of August! Yay

I got my letter of approval today!!! I'm so excited!!! I have an EGD This Weds and I'm getting my pulmonary function test done ASAP. Then I should be well on my way. I hope this moves fast!! My goal is to have surgery by the end of July. My family has a trip to Disney planned in September and I would love to feel great when we go!! Thank you everyone

I'm very nervous, my BMI is 46 and I have Humana, I do not have high BP and I'm not diabetic. I do have migraines but don't think that will help much, I also have a family history of obesity and cancer. I was without insurance for about 3 years until Jan, when we talked w the insurance company at the start of the process they said there was no pre existing clause. I really hope that my approval letter comes soon and I can get this ball rolling. I do have my EGD scheduled for the 12th of June and hoping to do my Pulmonary Function test while I'm in town (about 2 hrs from home) I hope my letter comes soon and I pray it is an approval letter!!

I see many people saying straight water is hard to go down, what do you mean by that and why? I'm in the process of getting sleeved now but my hubby was just sleeved, what do you all mean by that water being hard to go down, or straight water, I'm confused why is it harder, if so what do you do instead? My hubby is having pain when he drinks and I was wondering if this could be why bc he is trying to drink lots of water.

My husband had surgery on Thursday and he is having a sharp pain in the center of his chest that some times goes to the left side, it is mainly every time he takes a drink of Water or his Protein. Is this normal?? It feels pretty intense for him, I the point of regretting what he did! Can someone please help us with this, is it normal, is it something to worry about, will it pass if so when, what is your advise?? How many oz of liquid is to much liquid in an hour??

Tonight is my husbands first night home, advise on where or how to sleep, position or anything? He isn't comfortable laying flat. He has done great other wise!

Also those of you who are back in bed and sleeping normal, when and how long did that take?

Those of you who have done this, could you give me and estimate of how much you spent all together including flight and hotel ?

I have not had insurance in 3 years, I will get insurance w Humana KY state employee in Jan will I be able to start my 6 month diet plan or will I have to wait ??

What all did this include, if you don't mind me asking ? How much was flight and stay, did you take someone with you ?

I have a question, I have not had insurance in about 2 1/2 years, I will be getting insurance in Jan 2013, I was wondering if surgery was covered right away after all the requirements are meet for if you have to wait a certain amount of time, before they will cover it? Thanks

I have just now decided that I think the sleeve is for me, I have not yet gone to a Dr just hoping I can have it done. I would like to know, Once you went to the Dr how long from then before you have your surgery ??

I called the insurance company today, Humana, good news she they informed me that yes they do cover! But she did say that anything before the phsy appointment was not covered, and since I have not yet started can someone tell me what all you have to do before that ?? So I can know what to expect ? Thank you !
