4 days post op -- REGRETTING THIS SURERY
BigFatLoser replied to dat_sweetmami's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I cried and cried and cried most of the first week about having the surgery. I wanted to put up my dukes to anyone who pat my back and told me it would get better. Ohhhh what a difference a few days makes!!! Im only 9 days out and I'm feeling MUCH better. Just walk!!!!!!!!!! amymorrison29 on MyFitnessPal! -

You're definately in the what the heck stage. I'm 9 days out and feel a lot better. It may take months before we are truly happy with our decision, but I'm confident it will happen. This is so hard!! After a week, my painful bubble drinking problem got much better. Walk. Don't lay when drinking. Experiment with other clears. Sf Popsicles! You'll get better EVERYDAY. And if you breakdown about your decision, just know that's normal!!!!! amymorrison29 on MyFitnessPal!

Fyre...are you saying that later down the road, the signal for me that I'm fl will be normal fullness as opposed to getting ill and whatnot?? amymorrison29 on MyFitnessPal!

I'm 8 days out and generally I feel good. But today I have this....buzzy feeling in my body. It's sporadic and very strange. Is I anesthesia related??? I'm also very jumpy. Just so strange. amymorrison29 on MyFitnessPal!

BigFatLoser replied to BigFatLoser's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks, darlin. I can't believe I couldn't figure it out! Apparently in the bustle of the surgery and all the new meds, I forgot to take it for a whole week! Just took it and I feel a bit better already. Thanks! amymorrison29 on MyFitnessPal! -

I enjoy bean Soups blended until smooth. And sf pudding. Yum! Tonight I put meatless chili in a blender with a smudge of sharp cheddar and a dollop of plain Greek yogurt, blended til smooth, and heated til cheese was melted. Wasn't grilled cheese(but seriously...what is..) but it was satisfying. amymorrison29 on MyFitnessPal! -

I am 1 year, 2 months & 18 days post op - so what questions would you want someone to asnwer (slightly different way to approach things)
BigFatLoser replied to Pookeyism's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Lol! What she said!!!! I'm really just interested in knowing if you're satisfied with the way you eat now. I broke down yesterday at he thought of never again eatin that rate giant bowl of spaghetti. I love it! And 4 oz of spaghetti is nothing. Do you get to eat somewhat normal again????? Enough to not be upset when you just HAVE to stop??? Do you want to stop? Like do you get a fullness where you are ok not eating another bite? Or do you want to, but just can't? I do NOT intend to fail at this. But I also don't want to fight with food forever and constantly never be satisfied. Please she'd light on this for me and I will love you forever. -
Sleeved 3/18 - a bit overwhelmed
BigFatLoser replied to Tasteofheaven's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Agreed. Love Popsicles. Life saver!!! My doc said that the intense gurgles should subside mostly at 2 weeks. I think it will be a lot easier to gauge fullness when that is gone. -
Sippy cup? Yes/no?
BigFatLoser replied to BigFatLoser's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My nurse said a sippy cup was ok as long as I wasn't getting to much air. And I like the coffee straw idea too!!! -
So. My beautiful fiancé bought be this: It's pink and it's got TWO handles and it doesn't drip! I love it! Jk Well, I do enjoy it. Anywho, is drinking out of one of these like drinking out of a straw? I can't tell!! Thanks

March 14th Sleever check-in!
BigFatLoser replied to BigFatLoser's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was telling lain privately that I had a food meltdown last night. Not bc I wanted to cheat but just because of the finality of the way I used to and loved to eat. I knew this would be difficult emotionally in ways I coulfnt fathom pre op, and I was so right. For the first little bit we may regret this decision. Until we are retrained. And then we will be free. I'm up 2.4 pounds today than yesterday and i don't even care. I just want to heal and get past the food addiction. Weight loss is a bonus.
