I think you have given him all the info needed! Now just don't let it be a source of stress to you! Sometimes our stress makes situations seem bigger where as no reaction will smooth things over in time. You will feel so good as you lose the least of your worries will be what do other think of me. -
OMG! I HAVE SO SCREWED UP!
Kapoorvilla replied to Jessica9190's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told very few I was being sleeved 12/5. I am of one of the less than 1% who have a complication and I stayed in the hospital five days. I had to have a second surgery to correct problems caused by an accidentally cut bowel hidden by scar tissue. I am now recovering at home with 30 stables in my tummy. I will be weeks recoverying. Many will wonder and rumors will spread but if any one really wants to know they will ask me what happen and I will tell them the truth. The only regret is that some may feel they found out what I didn't want them to know. Reality is when someone can go through 4 weeks of liquid, 2 weeks of puréed and then 2 weeks of soft foods to work toward better health they have earned my respect enough I want to hear their concerns, advice, warnings, comments otherwise call Jenni cause she cares not me! I am really not that rude of a person in real life I am just say don't talk to me about dieting unless you have cross the hurtles I am crossing! Tammy Kapoor! -

You are going to do fine. Some fell having made the same mistakes in the PAST but currently not making them gives them a superior knowledge. Unfortunealy this leads to beating there self up when they make the same slip and it is easier to just declare oneself righteous than admitt our shared faults. No one is harder onan ex whatever than an ex whatever. Use your ex and those who offend you as motivators! Show them you can do this! Your getting great advise and list emailed to you now do it, and win it! Your weight willslipdown as your self esteem soars! -
Ladies I need some help here....
Kapoorvilla replied to bonbon85's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Congrats on marriage! I am only five days out but reading these forums has become a constant fave past time. All say the something in your case start over on a two week liquid and process back through to two weeks, purée, two weeks soft and finally back to solid focusing on Protein and liquids daily leaving off carbs, fats, and sugars. Living on a rual area walking/jogging is the best aerobic excersies but with the cold month you might want to check out some Zumba or palates. YouTube has many 30 min workouts for free if you do not want to buy the DVDs. I have heard this so many times over the year I have prepared for surgery: "The sleeve is just a tool and to lose weight you still have to do the work to make that tool effective." You can do this and you will be so happy with yourself when your wedding comes! Keep us posted I know you will be a beautiful bride! -
True Story "Read with Caution"
Kapoorvilla replied to ascooke's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just got home from hospital showered and feeling really good! This is crazy but the stable line down my tummy makes it look like I have had a tummy tuck!! There is still some swelling will be interesting to see how it looks after swelling is gone. I decided I would try a 30gram premier protien shake for supper. I am five days out and on full liquid. The shake is 11 oz I am going to work on it a couple more hours but worried I will never get the whole thing in! How many days before you could get a whole shake in worried about getting 60 grams when I hold so little and my doctor want 64oz liquid on top of that. That is not going to happen today. I will try tomorrow but I guess it is Protein before liquid if I can't get both. -
True Story "Read with Caution"
Kapoorvilla replied to ascooke's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi everyone I am ascooke's sister. Feeling very grateful to be feelin much better. I am still in the hospital but hoping later today will be the magical day my doctor says I can go. On Wednesday surgery they made it clear finding the scar tissue and cutting the bowel was very unusual and that indeed almost cost me my live. On Saturday another emergency arose when a bowel was found out of place! After Yesterday's emergency surgery I feel like a new person. Pain is under control. Appetite is non existent but I have a wonderful husband who makes sure I get in 4oz hourly all day and the focus is on protien. The sleeve side of things seems to be going great. The scar tissue and bowel would have been a problem in any case my abdeomen need to be acessed so I am not blaming the sleeve for that. This was just a fact of abnormality in my body which I pray is now fixed. I would not discourage anyone from the sleeve as a matter of fact the only thing I would discourage is keeping it quiet that you are having surgey because now I have to explain what happen and I fear it will put a bad light on the surgery to some people who could really benefit from it. Thanks for the prayers! -

Well I am sleeved. Seems my surgeon ran into scar tissue which led to my small bowel being punctured. Loss a lot of blood. Not regretting my decision just wait to be healed. -

Really!?!?! Cancelled The Day B4 Surgery After 3 Weeks Liquid
Kapoorvilla replied to Shubox's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am so sorry this happened to you. But your wrong: you CAN do it!! You have come so far don't give up. I am going through the six month supervised dieting and I can't even imagine how I would feel if after all this I go For surgery and something goes wrong and I have to start over. However if that did happen I would want someone to talk me down off the ledge and stop me from quitting. Giving up is not an option. Not for you who has already been able to prove you can do the liquid diet. I would be having a serious talk with the staff who crossed up insurance but I would not give up. Please don't give up.
