  1. Nope, no ticker. I have the iphone 4. Which version do you have?
  2. But on phones, which many of us use, we can't see tickers. Whats your name on MFP?

Stay away from Power Crunch!!! They taste like vanilla wafers and I got addicted to them.
  5. I've had both. My sleeve was done 8/21 with staples, which were taken out the next day. They look beautiful. My gallbladder incisions were sealed with glue. Done 7 weeks after the sleeve. Same surgeon. They look horrible! All crusty and bumpy. Give me staples any day!

    Staples Or Stiches?

Not a bit. But....i've had two knee replacements with 20 plus staples on each knee, so maybe I'm prejudiced. The glue is making my skin so itchy!

    Food Costs

Andy, can you post a pic of the costco sausages? Are they in the frozen section? We live 5 min from costco. I love their frozen fish section. Most everything is individually flashfrozen in perfect serving sizes.

    Staples Or Stiches?

They sure do! I look like I've been in a knife fight. Lol.
  9. Not sure if that's the case here....if you read her other posts on the forum, she's Mexican, lives in Mexico and money is no object. I am just repeating what she's posted. My rose colored glasses are firmly on my face.
  10. Really? Oh man...I truly can be clueless at times... This information just depresses me. I think I'll put my rose colored glasses back on. :-)
  11. Iggychic, I don't think that anyone here has been mean to the OP. We've questioned why, or at least I have, but I've never judged her and if it has come across as such then it's wording or how someone else reads my words. My concern is will this be the latest trend for already skinny models? The OP has added more info (thank you for that) so obviously this isn't the case for her, but it sure started a bunch of thinking that..but not being mean to her. I've always tried hard to be kind and considerate on this forum, no matter what the views. I think its sad that when we question someone without being intentionally hurtful we are suddenly marked as being mean. It's called learning about each other and educating each other. I'd like to understand her reasoning and I've said that in many of my posts.
  12. This has been bugging me and I know that several people have TKR's on here. Does anyone know how much the TKR weigh? Both of mine are done. Titanium start in upper thigh into the shin bone. I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and knee bones were totally eaten away. Just curious.

How do we find out if ours did?

    Still Sore Inside

Very normal. Could last for a few months. Laporscopy surgery can be deceiving. You just had MAJOR surgery even if it doesn't look like you did. Plus you've got stitches inside tugging at your muscle wall. Don't overdo things or you will hurt more.

    Victory!

Good for you!!! It still hurts to wear pants w all my incisions. I look like I've been in a knife fight. Lol. I've def been a slow loser. (10 pounds in 8 weeks!). But last week when I was being prepped for my gallbladder surgery, my surgeon looked me over and said, 'there is NO way you've only lost a few pounds. You are def losing inches. For some people the scale just doesn't ring true.' That comment made me feel so good!! Keep up your spirits! Don't be bummed. Come on here and we will cheer you up!!! Big hugs!
  18. Deltagirl, Normally I would agree with you, it isn't anyone's business what we all do in our private life. Except, she made it public by coming on and posting in a very public forum. I for one am afraid for all those young girls who think they have a weight issue and an unscrupulous surgeon offers them this 'magic bullet.' Can you just imagine a young person with severe body issues having this surgery? They will ruin their life. So yes, I AM concerned if this becomes the new way of people beautifying themselves for a mere 50 pound weight loss at a young age unless there is a real medical reason or childhood obesity. But, do we know if this was even the OP's original problem or was it more? We don't. So....I don't think anyone is judging here her. We are just waiting for the whole story so that we can support her, which is what she came on this public forum for. Sorry about your losses.
  19. I agree 100%, ReadyforSuccess! If I knew what I know now at 51 years old, I would have done the sleeve the first time I yo-yo'd. But, we still haven't gotten her whole story? Or have we and i missed it?
