Wow...good for you for being honest about how painful it was! Sorry you are in so much pain though! Don't they give you alot of pain meds in the beginning? Did you have any complications? Hope you feel better soon!!!

I am the same in that I have read alot and have found some negatives with the sleeve...of course mostly it is if you don't use it as it's intended to be used, and I will say there are more positives posted than negative ones for sure. I don't want to add to your anxiety cuz you are feeling good about it so just check with your doctor on all your questions since they will be the most accurate! My reg. doctor is really conservative and she's added to my angst about the surgery (lol) so I just keep going back and forth with it. I wish you the best and I'm sure it will go great for you! Stay positive like you are...I know that's probably half the battle! Best wishes!

Wow, you def seem ready!!! And it sure sounds like your work will miss you! lol So did you try a bunch of shakes ahead of time or were these recommended? If I decide to go through with my surgery, mine will be at the end of October. I'm still undecided! Wondering when I will totally feel great about EITHER decision! Good luck to you!

I am obsessed with it as well...I'm so afraid I don't have the right personality to be successful afterwards! I'm not even WORRIED about the actual surgery...all I think about is down the road stuff...I'm a picky eater, and no willpower...I would guess many people who are overweight have these traits too and probably had the surgery, but just wondering if they were the unsuccessful ones? Then I feel hopeful that many say their taste for different foods change! haha Oh geez...my brain hurts!

Yes, I have been checking out youtube ALOT, and practically all other sites that people discuss this surgery! haha I don't have much time left to make my final decision as to whether or not go through with it, so I am feeling the pressure now. I really didn't even question it at all, but I will admit I wasn't informed enough in the beginning (my own fault 5 months ago). Now that I am, my head is spinning! Anyways, thanks everybody, it has def helped hearing what you each have said and this site in general is great

I am very cautious by nature I guess (comes with getting older cuz I never used to be!!!) and just so worried as to whether this is the right decision or not for me. Congratulations with the weight loss....great job! I would be THRILLED with the weight loss you both have experienced!! Terrific!!

Thanks Dorrie...congratulations on your weight loss! I haven't seen too many people though with several years on here behind their belt so to speak! I just wonder if it's because things aren't going well, or if it's become a non issue anymore after so much time has passed, you know? Hopefully I will hear from some!
