Good morning everyone, I am on day 6 of 14 on my clear luquid diet and I just wanted to ask a question, I have to drink 2 Meal Replacement shakes and 2 shakes of my choice, I use Atkins. I am having a hard time getting this in. I'm just not hungry, I have to make sure that I eat. I have lost 14 lbs as of last wed 29th and I feel good. Has anyone else had a problem with making sure they get all their shakes in?

Believe me I try, I bring my water with me but I just keep forgetting, but thanks for the advice and good luck with your continued success!

My BMI is 67.2 and my weight was 455 now it is 443 pre op liquid diet and my surgery is next wed 12 so its possible.

Wow I can't believe this, I have lost 11.9 lbs since wednesday! I am in day 4, haven't cheated, I was sick yesterday and couldn't eat. I don't really feel as hungry as I thought I would. Can't wait surgery is Sept 12...11 days and counting!!!

@jerzeygirl Thank you so much for your post. YES I am extremely nervous about my filter. I am more nervous about this than my surgery itself. My vas surgeon said he will go through the groin but he may have to go through the neck. I am juat scared. I have been on youtube looking at videos of procedure but didn't feel amy better about it. After ready your post I do feel alittle about it. Thanks for sharing

Well I made it! In 2 days I have lost 6 lbs. But I am physically drained. I have no energy. At times I feel like I am going to pass out. Anyone else feeling this way? 2 down 12 to go

This is my 2nd day of my pre op liquid diet and i'm doing pretty good. Just finished my Berry shake and I have a big bottle of water at my desk, so wish me luck!

@suziebabie78 well for my liquid diet us for 14 days and i can have 2 advocare shakes 1 for breakfast 1 for dinner for lunch I can have any other kind of shake ,I use Atkins, for dinner with my shake I can have a dannin light and fit yogurt. I can have broth and sugar free fat free jelli and popcicle. Hope this helps.

We have to help each other. Some people don't have anyone to talk to or understand what we are going thru. Fortunately for me I have a boyfriend that supports me and loves me for whats inside not out, so I am here when and if u need me.

Oh I also have DJD in both knees so its hard for me to work out or walk too!!

Yes, I still had to do the 6 months, but believe me the time flies by. The other thing I have to do is get a IVC filter because if my weight to prevent blood clots.

Hi Jennifer, believe me I feel your pain. My BMI is 67.2 It took me a long time to realize that I needed help to get and keep the weight off. For a few years I went back and forth with myself about losing weight. People don't realize how hard it is for a "obese" person to lose weight. I work @ a hospital and losing weight is always a topic at lunch. It bothered me inside because I couldn't understand why they could lose the weight and I couldn't. Like u I have BC/BS and I was referred by my PCP, met the surgeon then started a 6 month weight management class, dis all the pre-op test, now I am at my last hurdle. My suegery is Sept 12 and I cant believe that it is here. I would see and hear about people who have wls and I would be like , Wow that could have been me. And now my time is here, just like in a few months it will be your time to shine. Believe me, u have made the right decision for yourself. Just be patient and now that we are all here for u when u need it the most. Good luck!

I started my pre-op diet today, it wasn't as bad as i thought. I am hungry but it is 530 pm so I probably should eat. My biggest problem will be at night. Usually I have a cup of coffe but I can't so we'll see how the night goes.

I totally understand your trouble, I ordered my scale from online I believe it was Seventh Avenue, but u can also try Bryantlane Homes. It was about $70 and it goes to 550 lbs.

Hello, has anyone had to get a IVC placed prior to surgery? If so, how was it?

Thanks for the info, they are puttung a temp one. I'm just nervous. I work at a hospital and I know they put them in all the time, but now i'm on the other side of the coin!!
