Before and After

You will it just takes time. I just started to enjoy meal time with family again about 2 months ago. I can't eat as much but I still feel normal. -

Before and After
KarissaKhaos replied to KarissaKhaos's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The first few months were really tough. My body hated everything I ate so I was basically consuming nothing but liquids. I had am esophageal dilation in December and I've been great ever since. The only thing I can't tolerate is french fries, they pain me so bad I cry. I also can't eat a lot of bread. I've been at this weight for a little over a month. I'd like to lose more but I'm lacking the focus I need right now. I eat a lot of protein and salad, I enjoy junk every now and then but not like I used to. Excessive amounts of sugar make me sick to no end. -
Adjusting to a new body

I'm finding it really hard. Next month on the 30th I will be one year post-op. I have lost 130lbs and currently weigh 156. People tell me I'm so thin and that I look great, but I look in the mirror and still feel heavy. I don't think I look good in anything I put on and it frustrates me to no end when I'm trying to find an outfit for the day. I end up throwing half of my closet on the floor by the time I'm done. I don't know if it's psychological or if it's normal for someone to go through this after huge weight loss, but I'm worried and feel alone. I'm calling a psychiatrist tomorrow so that I can try to figure out what the problem is, but I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Adjusting to a new body
KarissaKhaos replied to KarissaKhaos's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm finding it extremely hard to adjust. Sadly I'm criticizing myself more now than I was when I was heavy. It's disheartening. I shouldn't feel like this because I'm in a size 10 pant, and a medium/large shirt, yet I still feel chunky. Ugh :/ -
I was thinking about a liquid diet for a few days, maybe I'll try it

So I've lost 126lbs. I'm happy with my body shape but I still have leftover fat on my lower back, inner thighs, and lower belly, like below my belly button. The scale isn't budging even though I'm a gym junkie, what can I do to get back in fat burning mode? Should I go back to protein shakes? I'm stuck, and I'd like to get rid of at least 10 to 15 more pounds. Help!

Totally unrelated to the sleeve or surgery at all, but I don't have many men to ask their opinion on this subject. It's relationship related. If any male willing to give me their input would message me I'd greatly appreciate it!

I totally get why a bypass patient would get so sick from sugar but why us too? I mean we just had our stomachs down-sized as opposed to complety blocked off. I had a bite of cheesecake at my jewelry party lastnight and it made me so incredibly nauseous and sweaty. NEVER again.

9 months out stuck stalled and platued
KarissaKhaos replied to marie110's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
9 months out as well and haven't lost anything in over a month. Stuck at 167 -
It's been a month since I've lost anything. I've been stuck at 167 for what seems forever. I want to lose another 15-20lbs. I just started protein shakes again but I eat a lot of protein. I eat chicken a lot and snack on polly-o mozzarella sticks to bump up my protein a little more. I'm also a big salad fan, especially with chicken in it. I don't know what else to do. I'd switch to strictly water for drinks if I could handle it but my new tummy hates it. I'm 8 almost 9 months out now btw. Advice?

I'll definitely try that, thanks so much

I'm 8 months out and believe I may be struggling with it. I have a bowel movement once or twice a week, and when I do, I have a horrific stomach ache that starts a an hour before and gets worse as I'm going. It is extremely difficult to go and feels harder than a normal movement. Has anyone encountered this problem and if so what can I do to make it better? A fiber supplement possibly? I'd like a long-term solution so laxatives and softeners are not what I'm looking for. Or do you think this is something greater than constipation? Help :/

constipation?
KarissaKhaos replied to KarissaKhaos's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You sound exactly like me. Fortunately the fiber gummies are working and I'm going daily, and it isn't hard anymore. -

July 2012 Sleevers, Progress?
KarissaKhaos replied to KarissaKhaos's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I lost about 30lbs the first month, 20 the next, and then it slowed down as the months go by. I lose about 10 a month now. -
I was sleeved on the 30th. I started off at 281lbs, I'm now down to 166lbs. I've had some problems but everything is getting better, how are you all?
