FYI Insomnia Low Carb
KarissaKhaos replied to Teri Barowsky Hooper's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know how you feel, I don't fall asleep until 6am and then I end up sleeping all day. My body won't let me sleep at night. I feel like my high blood pressure is gone but now I have acid reflux and insomnia. So I gave up one med and gained two, ugh. -
I tend to drop faster when I eat more also. Days where I don't eat much, the scale won't budge but on days where I eat a little more I drop like crazy.

If 3500 calories makes you gain one pound, then why did I go from being 180 two days ago to 183 right now? I haven't eaten enough to gain that much weight, especially in such a short amount of time so how is it that I gained 3lbs in 2 days? I'm confused..

I've noticed since my surgery that my bladder habits are different. The only way I can explain it is it's like my bladder shrank after I lost all this weight. It's not that I pee more often but my bladder seems to hold less. Has anyone experienced this or am I alone lol. Btw I have no infections or anything so I've ruled all that out.

Sleeved on July 30th, started out at 271 and I'm now 180. I haven't worked out but I do take Vitamins regularly. Went from a size 22-24 to a size 14 in pants. I was a 3x in shirts and I'm now a large. I'm 5'5 and I'd like to be under 150.

That's exactly what I feel, I feel as if it's a lot less when I go but I drink a lot. -

I love it, doesn't matter how long I sleep, I never get interupted by the intense urge to pee. -

Lol I don't get up at night to go anymore either. And I don't poo as much either, and no more random stomach aches. It's wonderful haha -

5'5" Women....what is your goal weight or size?
KarissaKhaos replied to VSGRachel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 5'5 and I'll be happy with weighing less than 150. I'm currently 182 and started at 271. -
I've actually become pretty lactose intolerant since surgery, kinda depressing.
-
Surgery date was 7/30/12, started at 272 and currently weigh 187.9lbs! First picture was 2 days post-op and the second picture is from a little over a week ago. I've actually flattened out a little more since that picture was taken. Went from a size 24 in pants to a size 14 and I'm almost a 12. Shirt size used to be 3-4x and I'm now an xl almost in larges. How is everyones progress and what is your goal? I'm looking to be under 150.

If I eat icecream I become extremely nauseous and sick, try to avoid it.

Has Anyone Gain Weight
KarissaKhaos replied to Jeanet69's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's normal to go up and down a few pounds, don't stress about it. Just continue to follow the diet and focus. -
Almost to my goal!
KarissaKhaos replied to KarissaKhaos's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't worked out in awhile because I'm having medical problems not related to my sleeve. I quit the shakes about 3 months ago because I'm getting everything in through food. My favorite thing to eat at the moment is scallops. -
I'm 6 months post-op and not planning on trying anytime soon because I'm not at my goal yet, but when did your doctors tell you it was ok or safe to try to get pregnant? I plan on discussing this with my doctor but I'd also like to hear what your doctors told you. After my 1 year surgiversary I'd like to consider it but I'm not sure if that's too soon or what. So ladies, what do you think?

Man I must've been lucky then, I was back to nursing at one week out and no pain.
-
I don't know about anyone else but I was back to almost normal activity by week 2. I went back to work 4 days afterwards and did fine, just a bit more tired.
