I was pretty disappointed with the ending too. It was a little too surreal and it made me think that they were doing a dream/coma sequence again like when Tony was shot earlier. There were a lot of things in it though that I'm still going to have to watch again to catch. I did like the way the music was intentionally left off the ending credits....a final good bye.....but how the heck did AJ bounce back so quick. I'll confess that AJ in the pool had me in crying my eyes out. I was so upset....ok it's just a show....I never get wrapped up in shows....but i've been watching from day one. I hope they do a movie but how do they bring back all my favorite characters....they all got wacked! :think

mandi78, My opinion.....and only an opinion....you told the doctor, make sure you talk to the anesthesiologist about your fear too. They are going to be doing most of the monitoring of you. They are not going to just stop monitoring you while you are waking up. I was hooked up to ekg machine, oxygen, oxygenated blood monitor etc, in recovery till they wheeled me up to a room and they were taking my vitals and watching me closely. I have no other medical conditions that warrant extra monitoring other than the apnea. Maybe they are overly cautious but ask the surgery/anesthesiologist who will be doing your operation if they monitor this close. I think your husband would be VERY aware if you gasped for air in your sleep. Have your husband listen to you some time before surgery to be sure. Just my thoughts. good luck.

GWIP, howdy neighbor! Thanks for the kudos. Congrats on your progress too. I still haven't heard back from the darn Sleepwell clinic. they are notoriously bad about working with me. Northernsun, I've never heard of such a machine you can rent....does it hook up to your mask? The test last time cost about $3,000 for two nights studies...thank god for insurance but i still had to pay the first thousand. Thanks

I was diagnosed over a year ago. I have no idea if it's mild or off the charts. My setting is 14. Since I've now lost 50 lbs though it seams too high for me....and in the too much information category...it fills me up with gas:eek:.... like i need more. I've put in a call the the company I go through to find out what to do. oh and it took me 3 months to get used to the dang thing to begin with. I'd take it off several times a night and the mask broke my face out in a lovely rash the shape of the mask. I still break out with new masks....I hate it BUT it's the best I've ever slept. I'm a new person since having it and am very thankful for it. I'm hoping i wont need it soon....crossing my fingers anyhow. Hang in there. it's a necessary evil.

This is the best thread. My starting weight was 411 lbs. I was miraculously able to lose 35 lbs prior to surgery. I just weighed this morning though at 361 and almost cried....50 lbs down. woohooo.....a lot to go. but hey, what else am i doing right? a question for you all though....I have sleep apnea and am wondering when i should be getting re-evaluated as I think its set too high now. I'd like to put it off as long as possible but feel like I'm swallowing all the forced air. Any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Hi all. I'm enjoying reading your posts. thanks for all the good info. MaryumC, I've been having problems with mushies transition too. I'm 16 days post op and feel i like everything is going to come right back up on me. (my dr requires liquids for first 14days). I think i figured out part of my problem though is the chewable vitamin c tablets i just added to my daily mix. So i'm stopping those for now and still taking all my others...multivitamin, liquid b, zinc, and calcium.....jeez. well good luck.

Day 10 of liquids only and I'm having a tough day today. I'm so sick of it. I feel like I'm doing ok as far as hunger goes and no real cravings but my options are protein drinks, soup, yogurt, or soup...or yogurt...oh wait....or soup.... (my dietitian/doctor include yogurt this phase). I think I'm just getting stir crazy still hanging out at home. I did sit out in the sun today and felt better. Thanks for letting me whine. Hey thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. on the OWLS office: I was banded through the Good Sam Oregon Weight Loss Surgery center on 5/8/07 by dr Jay Jan. He did a great job but I agree with the previous comments. their offices seem to be really overwhelmed with clients or they are just too busy to be customer service oriented...not sure which. Constantly standing at the counter waiting for help only to be treated like I'm at the mcdonald's counter with a rude teenager at the cash register....blank stares etc.:straight weird. That being said the whole day of the surgery i was treated very well. Dr Jan was very nice to me and my parents. And the surgery staff at good sam were very sweet. on insurance coverage: My insurance is Blue Cross Blue Shield who just opened up their acceptance of the lap band after several members "banded" together and fought them I've been told that Kaiser will only do the bypass surgery. I'm not sure if it was the patient or how they do the process but my friend was told it would NOT be done laporscopicly either...ouch. Sorry for the long post.
