1 Week Post Op, Why Have I Not Dropped Any More Pounds?
Eat That Frog replied to Chills562's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How long were you in the hospital? I was in 4 days and weighed more when I came home then I did the day I went for surgery because of all of the IV fluids. It does come off, don't worry! -

Chewable Vitamins
Eat That Frog replied to FoxyRoxy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree, the BA vitamins I take are nasty. I lay them out and look at them and try and talk myself into taking them, and haf the time I don't. I get nasueous just smelling them. I am going to look for some gummies ASAP. -
Guilt Over "damaging" A Perfectly Good Body Part...
Eat That Frog replied to lucky8mb1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am post-op and from time to time that thought runs through my head...especially when I am having a hard time with my food. Still, I know it was the best thing that I could do for myself and have no regrets. -

That sounds terrible, I am so sorry. Does everything make you sick? How are you coping with this? -
Scared After Pre Op Appointment
Eat That Frog replied to cosmogirl70's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know anything about your health and reasons for wanting surgery. I had so many health issues that I knew I would have a much shorter life without the surgery, so it was worth the small risk. I really couldn't picture myself living the rest of my life with every step I take hurting because of osteo-arthritis in my knees. I couldn't deal with the complications likely to come due to diabetes, and spending the rest of my life unable to get a good nights' sleep. Good luck with your decision. -

Thinning Hair After 3 Months! What About Nioxin?
Eat That Frog replied to CarolinePT09's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are the only person that has mentioned seeing a dermatologist (even though it is not related to the surgery). I have been wondering about that myself...is there anything that they can do? -
Hair Loss After Surgery
Eat That Frog replied to RoseNP's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is a huge concern for me, I will be devastated if it happens. Has anyone seen a dermatologist about it? My doctor told me to take zinc and biotin, but it all sounds like a big crap shoot to me. -
How Long Did You Have The Pain In Your Left Shoulder Area?
Eat That Frog replied to cosmo95's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine lasted off and on for a little over 3 weeks. -
I am a month out from surgery and notice that sometimes I now get a little bit of motion sickness in the car. I haven't actually thrown up, my stomach feels a little funny. Anyone else? Does it go away? I am going on a cruise in a month and am wondering if I should get the patches for seasickness. Never had it before, but I never felt bad in the car before either.

Only 25 Lbs In 4 Weeks!
Eat That Frog replied to SleeveShelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am at 25 pounds in 4 weeks also and am pleased. Hope I am cleared to exercise when I go back to the doctor next week. -
I hated the puree stage and counted the minutes until I could move on! Everything disgusted me, and so I mainly had shakes, eggs, yogurt and applesauce.

I was off 1 week. I felt OK when I went back (desk job) but tired easily. My doctor said the important thing is to not sit for more than 30 minutes at a time. Get up and move around, lessens the chance of blood clots.

I'm Gaining Weight 2 Weeks In?!?!
Eat That Frog replied to Kelly123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My handbook absolutely says no bread or similar carbs for 6 months. Protein, protein, protein with a small amount of veggies and fruit. Funny how everyone has such different rules. -
I miss my coffee so much and am counting the days until my first cup. Did anyone have problems with coffee when they started drinking it again?

Why Don't I Just Tell People I Had Sleeve Surgery
Eat That Frog replied to The Big Dog's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Prior to surgery I only told my husband, best friend and office mate. While out for surgery I gave my office mate the OK to tell people if they asked where I was, because I didn't want her to have to lie. I still haven't told my friends or family although I will at an appropriate time. I am very private and don't want to talk about it or hear any negative comments. So far my co-workers have been curious about the procedure and overall supportive. -
I was told no coffee for 1 month because the caffeine can irritate your stomach. I had my first cup today (4 weeks out) and it was yummy. I had no problems.

How Long To Take Off Work?
Eat That Frog replied to michelleooo513's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a desk job and took 1 week off. The main concern with the desk job is to not sit to long, it increases the risk of blood clots. I was very tired when I returned and wished I could have worked 1/2 days, but I couldn't afford to because I didn't have any more paid time off.
