    Mexico

It's much cheaper in Mexico. I am self pay and it cost me $17,500.00. I wish I had the courage to go to Mexico because I am going to be paying for this for a long time. How much is it in Mexico?

    Im Disgusted!

I feel the exact same way. I have "only" lost 30 pounds, and already the sagging skin on my stomach makes slapping sounds when I walk around in my night gown. Hubby has mentioned being able to finally wear a 2 piece bathing suit, I am trying to be positive and explain to him that it ain't going to happen because of the sagging skin. I may be looking better in my clothes but not otherwise.

9 Days After Surgery And No Desire To Eat

I felt the same way the first few weeks, food was repulsive to me. I did OK with Bariatric Advantage shakes, yogurt, applesauce and eggs. Everything felt like it got stuck in my throat. Hang in there, it wull get better!

    Not Taking My Vitamins

I don't take mine half the time, I find the entire process overwhelming. Between meds and vitamins I take 21 items a day. Some you take with food (even though you can't drink with meals) and some can't be taken at the same time and some taste like crap. I have a doctor appointment this Friday, we will see what the lab work has to say.

    Stupid Candy!

I had 1 of the bite size Butterfingers at work. Of course I had to sneak it when no one was looking or someone for sure would have given me a hard time. It was yummy and didn't phase my tummy.

    When was your surgery?

    Junk Food. Why?

Old habits are hard to break. I am 7 weeks out and for the first 5 weeks I had no interest in food. Now I am starting to think about "bad" food from time to time. I don't keep any in the house, that helps. I do have several sugar free options on hand. I have had a couple of bites of "bad" food, and so far just a bite seems to satisfy me. I am brainwashed to believe that eating a large quantity of "bad" food would probably make me sick, so that is saving me for now. What are you craving? Anything specific?

    Your "large" Incision?

I have 5 incisions, but I also had a hernia repair. The largest one is on the right, they said that is the hole that they used to remove the stomach.

    Weekly Miralax Date

Is Miralax stronger than a stool softener? I take 2 stool softeners every night and still am not having much luck. I am thinking about picking up some Activia Yogurt, I eat a yogurt every day anyway.

    Coffee

I was told no coffee for 1 month. I stayed away for a month but started drinking it in day 31 with no problems at all.

I hate that you are going through this and wish I could give you a hug. Please keep us updated.
  17. The good news is that you know how to maintain. The question is what will it take to get you back on track? What is the source of your problem? Do you have trigger foods around your house that you need to get rid of? Is it eating out?
  18. I had a similar experience. Once or twice a day it would hurt for 10 minutes or so and then stop. It started about 2 weeks out and lasted about 2 weeks. My surgeon had mentioned it might happen, I thought he said it was a side effect of the anesthesia.
  19. Are you doing anything for it now?
  20. I went to Dunkin' Donuts drive through for a "Skinny Iced Latte." I asked what sugar free flavors they have and was told that all of their flavors are SF. Then I asked them to name the flavors and selected mocha to add to the latte.. OMG, this was so good. The more I drank the more I became convinced that it couldn't be SF, so I looked it up on their website. Moch isn't SF and the drink had hundreds of calories. It was so good...
  21. I am 6 weeks out and just getting to the point where I can eat most things. I really don't enjoy mealtime. I think I want to eat, but when I sit down at the table I have a couple of bites and then I am not interested any more. I have to make myself eat a few more bites in hopes of getting in some Protein. I have no interest in cooking since I am only going to have a few bites of it anyway. Protein Bars are my staples for at least one meal a day. I am sure this will slowly change, my husband has been very patient with me but I am hoping to return to a more normal relationship with food, just in much smaller quantities. No problems with coffee, I have 1 light iced coffee or latte in the morning (at 30 days out) and it is heavenly.

    Post-Op Big Belly

It took me a little over a week to start seeing it go down. Between swelling, IV fluids and gas they really do a number on you!
