I was scared to death, but my energy levels have soared and i have lost 20 pounds total so far, 15 preop and 5 in 2.5 weeks. I am a new person! This surgery has given me a new lease on life!

My tastes have definitely changed. Most things dont really taste all that great and some things i just cant eat.

Ok, so i had my first heartburn attack today. It was my first day back to work and i didnt take my prilosec in the morning, thinking i could just take it when i got home. :0( i didnt think it would matter, as its not "fast acting" anyway. Either it mattered or something else is going on. Any thoghts? Im on one 20 mg pill per day.

My doc has me on prescription strength prilosec. I too had horrible heartbutn before the surgery. With the prilosec its a distant memory!

My family is going out for italian food today and im thinking of passing. I cant think of anything on the menu that i can have, as im only on week three! Any suggestioms? Im afraid im not very creative in this department!

I use the unjury chicken soup every day! It is actually pretty good. I ordered it online from unjury's website.

You are not alone! I am doing everything right because ive been scared straight! From all that ive read here, it seems like the six week mark is somewhat of a relief. Im curious as to what causes leaks beyond this point. Perhaps ulcers?

Speaking from experience, it does happen with the sleeve.

I was sleeved 8 oct 12 and today was my first day of soft foods. I ate half a scrambled egg this morning. A tiny bit of cream cheese with rolled in thin deli sliced ham and then i pureed 1 0z of chicken for dinner with mock mashed potatoes made from pureed cauliflowe (2 tsp). So even though i pureed my chicken in the food processor, i was able to eat it with a fork. I hadnt heard thid rule until today, but it makes total sense. I dont want to do anything to jeopardize how well things have been going. I havent cheated yet! And im felling great. Maybe ill stick to protein shakes and pureed vegies for awhile. Better safe than sorry!

What doasage of biotin do you take? Wjat is biosil?

Yes, for about 10 days. I started taking probiotics and now see definite improvement!

Any dr yadegar patients out there?

I am doing really well so far, but my tummy sounds a bit more sensitive than the others. I had my first experience with dumping just from putting creamer in my decaf coffee! After that im afraid to deviate from the diet at all! I guess it will be slow and steady for me, but thats ok. Everyone is different.
