Hi guys! I'm Lydia, 24 from Maine. My surgery date is December 21. I'm hoping to meet some people going through the same stuff too. Tomorrow is exactly one month until I get sleeved. I'm starting to get very excited/nervous!

My insurance approved and my date is officially dec 21 @ 9:15 am!!!!!!! Aaahhhh!!! I cried for like 5 min happy tears!!

I am waiting for anthem to approve my surgery. I know the chances of getting approved are pretty good but I can't help feeling stressed and anxious. I am very much a "take action" kind of person so waiting around is killing me. I just want to know. Now. Lol. How long did it take for your insurance to approve? I'm probably worried for no reason but I just really hate the waiting game.

I went out shopping today and had to refrain from buying any new clothes. I see it as pointless considering I will be having surgery in a month! Probably one of the best reasons I have had to not buy clothing. I also packed up all of my summer gear because next summer I will not be wearing any of that!

I won't be sleeved until next month but I would love a group of people experiencing similar things to join. I'm a 24 year old English teacher in Maine. My program runs many support groups but I am the youngest one there by about 20 years! I often feel out of place and uncomfortable joining in. -

So I'm in the last stretch while I wait for my insurance to approve. I should be getting sleeved on dec 21. I'm feeling like I could use a buddy to go through this with me! I'm starting to get anxious. I'm trying out a new support group in my area tomorrow. If you want to chat let me know

The program that I am in requires an orientation class, nutrition class, physical therapy class, 1-1 with NUT, psych eval and then finally meeting with the surgeon. I have done aaaalll of that! Just waiting for the final word from my insurance company. -
We just finished changing one of our basement rooms into a home gym. I'm so excited to use it! The pics attached show it is still a little messy but totally accessible. What is you favorite piece of equipment - the one that you couldn't live without? For all of you post- op folk how long was it before you felt truly comfortable working out?

How did you tell your friends and family about your decision? Or did you? How many people did you choose to tell? I'm not sure if I am comfortable telling many people - including my mother.
