I teach English also! A lot of people that I know have told that they felt great after just a couple weeks. I'm sure you will be able to get back to work within that time frame . -

Maine is beautiful and has some of he nicest people you could ever wish to meet. We have our moments now and then when you stop and ask yourself if you stepped into a time warp to the1950's lol but all in all Maine is"wicked good" stuff.

I live in Maine. We do not often make national news, let alone history lol, but this is something that most of us are pretty proud of! I am being sleeved 12/21. I feel so much better knowing that while I'm being operated on my amazing wife will be fully recognized as such while in the hospital.

It seems like this forum has been abandoned! -
My date is Dec 21. I'm excited and terrified ! I have never had surgery before so I am anxious about that but far more importantly I can't wait to take my body and life back.

I fully believe that it is never too late! So in that spirit I think you deserve just as much praise ! Are you pre or post op?

I Was Sleeved In May And Just Found Out I Am Pregnant
Lhollingsworth replied to Seemebetter's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Oye Bio! Go to her page and view "all post by this user." They are all timed/date stamped and it shows her last activity on the 12 - barring the update today. Legitimately I'm tired of this. Again, I'm very sorry for the OP's situation. I really hope she has a speedy recovery both physically and emotionally. -
How Much Weight Did You Loose Pre-Surgery?
Lhollingsworth posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My program doesn't have a specific weight loss requirement. I went to a group last night and many people lost a significant amount pre surgery. I'm feeling like I haven't lost enough and I won't be as successful! Am I stressing unnecessarily over this? -

I Was Sleeved In May And Just Found Out I Am Pregnant
Lhollingsworth replied to Seemebetter's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Yes this is the OP stating how far along she really was as opposed to her original speculation not her admitting that she had two separate pregnancies. -
Hi Shel! Welcome! I think it takes a lot of courage to start on this journey so congrats ! I will be sleeved dec 21. I'm sure our programs are different ( as they all are) but I think it is awesome to find people to go trough the process with.

I Was Sleeved In May And Just Found Out I Am Pregnant
Lhollingsworth replied to Seemebetter's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I think it is important to imagine the context that the OP wrote this in. I would have felt panicked, overwhelmed, and upset. I would have been seeking help and understanding. I would not have wanted someone comparing their awful pregnancy to mine in an " if I can do it so can you so suck it up" manner. There are many ways to prove your point. The OP is simply human and deserves that compassion. Your argument about the humanity of the fetus comes second to that. I'm saying choose an appropriate manner to convey your thoughts or step off. That's all. -
I Was Sleeved In May And Just Found Out I Am Pregnant
Lhollingsworth replied to Seemebetter's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I just read through the entire thread and see no such quote from loveisbeauty. I'm not yelling, nor am I being hateful. I do see a quote where she references her other 2 pregnancies *pre surgery* If you could give a direct quote - not a paraphrase- I could participate in this dialogue much better. -

I Was Sleeved In May And Just Found Out I Am Pregnant
Lhollingsworth replied to Seemebetter's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I don't believe I read anywhere on this thread that this was a second unwanted pregnancy. I think the OP was/is clearly going through crisis and there is no need for harsh words or hateful accusations. You say that your intent was not to make the OP feel judged but I have the distinct impression that those words are a hollow apology based on the context it was written in. Kindness and dignity gets us far more in life BioChick. This forum is supposed to be a place where we can lean on each other. Obviously with so many people coming from widely varied demographics there are bound to be differing beliefs - even people we don't like. My suggestion is that if it doesn't pertain to you, if it isn't constructive, if you will do more harm than good - gracefully bow out. This sounds like a tough and heart breaking situation, regardless of belief systems; let's have some empathy. -
Ok I Need Some Help Please
Lhollingsworth replied to jennaayyy03's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have to do two weeks of this starting dec 7. I have a booklet that has a list of foods. I will post a list later today ( it is 3am and the book is in my car and I live in Maine bbrrrrr lol). It also includes some sample menu plans of what your day should look like.
