I just had my baby in June. i had most of my fluid removed. prepregnancy I was 135 lbs. i got up to 210. right now am 179. i get my first adjustment since having her in 2 weeks...i cant wait. Hope the wait comes off just as easy as it did the first time around...

I had my lapband in 07. I went from a 16 to a 4. stayed a 4 till last October i found out was pregnant. had most of fluid removed. gained 75 lbs...no port pain or any issues whatsoever. only issue is now Im a 14 again. Having an adjustment in 2%eeks...cant wait :-)

Hello Bandsters...I havent been here in a long time. Hope everyone is well. I was checking out your post as well as your pics. WOW...Unbelievable. I am doing good, well I am now..Its been a tough year for me..I lost my job for about 10 months then got my job back. Lost my mother to Lung cancer last november she was only 49 yrs old. But I am now gettin back into the swing of thing. I finally hit my goal weight about 8 months ago, and now I am 10 pounds below my goal weight. I am in a size 4 now. I was in a 2 when my mother passed, (i looked like i was on crack) but have since then gained some it back. My band works like a charm. I love it. Not one day in the 2 yrs I have had it have I ever had a regret. So now that I am below my goal weight, I am ready to have me a bandbaby..I have one that started 12 grade yesterday, and one that started 2nd..So my dh and I, are ready for another.

Just want to see where in Tennessee you are from? Who is your doctor? What hospital did you have your surgery at? ME: I live in Lebanon, TN which is about 30 miles East of Nashville. Dr Charles Morton at Baptist Hospital did my surgery.

Hey there Lucky 7's...Remember me?? Sorry I have been out of commission for a while. Ive had so many things going on, its been crazy. After over 5 years at my job, I quit. Me and my boss just couldnt see eye to eye. My computer at home has been virused up, so no way to communicate. EVERYONE looks amazing. I can hardly believe how much weight everyone has been losing. Myself I finally reached goal. I am at 135 lbs and in a size 4. Can you believe it? Not had but two fills and my last one was in October. I feel great. I did however lose my boobies, but hell I can get some of them at the walmart lol... I wanted to say hi, and I promise now I will check in more frequently. I want to see pictures!!!

I am going to increase my water intake, it cant hurt!! Thanks for the advise, Im willing to try anything [ Distant You and I are in the same boat - this is why I was posting about questioning if fills are more phyisoclogical - I didn't get a fill on 12/21 cuz I had lost 17.5 - but I go back on the 21st this month - he wanted to go with Feb - but I said no lets do January = plus i need to go for my blood work. Sliming - IMHO i think it's your bodies reaction to food not going down easily - it produces the saliva to lubrecate you so the food will go down - i don't think it has anything to do with the amount of water your drink. This is just dr. janet's common sense kind of thinking :0) - I really can't state it as a fact. Janet....fills are like addictions...Im convinced!! As far as the sliming do you think Im just eating the wrong foods?

So I went to the doctor again yesterday for my fill. Havent been since October when they wouldnt give me anything. I was hoping for at least a tadbit of a fill (feel like a crackhead wanting crack) but once again he said no. I had lost like 15 pounds in the past 6 weeks. I am starting to feel like I can eat a lil more but he seems to think I am just right.I dont go back until April 1st now. He said that I was making remarkable progress, and that alot of times people that start out with a lower BMI (mine was 35.5) dont do as well as people that are bigger. He even said that I was actually at a healthy BMI now... As for port pain, I have never really had any. My port is right below my breast bone actually right in the center below my breast. I can feel it now, since I have lost this weight, feels about like large marble. But I have never experienced pain from it. My doc has never done anything to me but blind fills. Seems to work so Im not complaining. As for Sliming...I do that ALOT...And it is oh so gross...I hear that its because I dont drink enough water, so I am going to up my water intake and see if that helps. PBing sucks but i think Sliming is the worse. Any ideas on how to get this sliming under control?????

Hey there Bandsters, hope everyone is good and having a Great New Year!! I know I have been MIA for a while. Took some time off of work and just been enjoying the home life. Back to the grind now. Got on the scale this morning and after two weeks it finally moved 4 lbs. YAY ME!! Got a NSV, my 8's are getting too big...lol...that was funny just to type it. Could I be going into a 6? Just blows my mind. Down 50 pounds in 5 months. WOW!!! Made a new years resolution to start going to the gym at least 3x's a week. I have had a membership just always able to make an excuses of why I cant go. Not this time. Exercise starts now...I have lost 50lbs without exercising, i can only imagine how much would be gone if I had been doing what I was suppose to. Only 14 lbs till my goal of 135...

Hope everyone had a great Christmas...Mine was good, truthfully, Im just glad its over. The kids were happy with their gifts, and thats all that really mattered to me. Kathy...so sorry about what you are going thru with your dad. My mom (48 yrs old) was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer in January 07. It has since then spread to her brain and neck. She is doing okay right now, doing her treatments and such. I lost a son to neuroblastoma cancer back in 99 and thought that would be the worse thing to happen to me, but now with mama sick, I think if something happens to her it could be just as bad. My prayers are with you sweetie... Jackie...look at you in that (L) Jacket..Looks good girl, way to sport it!!! Janet....im loving the smileys too...Just adds fun to the page if you ask me... Holla outs to everyone I didnt mention... Did you know that ham and macaroni is hard to get thru the band, BUT sugar Cookies just slide on thru???

So today is my last day at work till next Wednesday...thank God..I definitley need a break...Hopefully the scale will finally move for me again in the near future... Im into it with DH today..Kinda put me in a crappy mood all day. He is just so jealous that its getting to be unbearable. Its to the point that I feel like that after 4 years he still dont trust me, they I just wanna throw my hands up and give up. I have never been unfaithful or unloyal to him, he just has it in his head that every woman cheats, and with that he drives me NUTTS.... Oh well, I hope it smoothes out before the weekend.. I just hate arguing anymore. Sorry to vent on you guys but grrrrrrrr............... I dont know if I will be back on here before Christmas or not, the computer at the house is usually occupied by my son and his friends. So if not, I want to tell everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...

Hell, everything I own is too big including my panties. Myself, Im looking forward to the extra long weekends that are coming up due to the holidays. I need a break from this place. Not a whole lot going on with me as far as weight wise, sitting at 153 STILL. I drove myself nuts wanting to be under 160, and now I want to be under 150. Will it ever stop? My DH says I can weigh 100 pounds and I will still find somewhere on my body that needs to lose some more "fat". I dont mean to be this way, but I can tell that losing weight is my new addiction. Its just so fun....(and easy) lol

WOW, I havent been on since Friday but looks like its been busy around here. I am simply amazed at all of your progress pics...It blows my mind that a lil band can make such a HUGE difference. Everyone is doing so good, and we have only been doing this for less then 6 months. I have already lost more weight the past 5 months then I ever have in my life...I know I am needing my fill tho, I have to admit its been nice to actually get to eat stuff that I wasnt able to when I was real tight, but I know what I need to do...And I will be doing it on Jan 7th. Hope everyone is ready for Christmas, I have yet to find a Nintendo WII. :angry I havent even mailed out my Christmas cards. For some reason this year Im just not feeling it.... I had a very decreased sex drive at one point, and went to my gyno about it. She said that when you lose weight fat, you also lose hormones. You may need to get your hormone levels checked

Well you never know what topic your going to find in here. But I am loving this one...I have lost almost 50 pounds and have to say that sex is better now then ever. It just seems like things are "closer" to each other then they were. I can ride and ride and ride now and not even be out of breath anymore. And i can actually see his face when he goes downtime while he does it. We have made a "weight loss sex goal" When I hit 140 we are renting a hotel room, because my fantasy has always been that he pick me up and hold me against a wall. Before I would have put his back out, but I think now it might just happen..... love this thread!!! Keep it going!!!

Congrads!!! I know your excited. I remember when I got my approval, I couldnt tell anyone because I had decided not to tell anyone I was even having the surgery. I felt like I was going to POP!!!

I also have RA. I am 32 years old, and have had it for 3 years. I was banded in July, and my rheumatologist actually wrote a letter to my insurance that the RA was affected by the extra weight. Since having the surgery I have not went back on the Methyltrexate. And have yet to have one episode. (knock on wood). I dont think you will have any problems...

Congrads Phyl, 50 pound mark already.... and look at everyone hitting ONEDERLAND before the new year!!! The scales are starting to move again. Im down to 153. I am hoping to be under 150 by Christmas...I was trying on rings yesterday and I have dropped like 2 sizes in just fingers. From a 9 to a 7. Man, it will be so nice to buy a ring and not have it sized up from the average size 7....Guess that was a lil NSV for me.... Hope everyone has a great day......

Hey gang...Im here....Not much going on with me. Still staying the same...I cant wait for my adj in Jan...Boy do i need one..I am hungry...Its like my band just untightened itself...For a while I was so tight and couldnt eat and now I can eat almost anything I want...:hungry: And once again I have realized why I had this surgery because I have absolutely no willpower....So its cold here and I am starving....What a sucky day!!!

WOW Frustrated....Sounds like you got you a GOOD man, A booby man of course, but definitley a good man. Thats is one of the sweetest storys I have heard in a while!!
