I will try chike soon. As soon as I need a break from what I have. Sounds like most people like it.

I really liked Syntrax nectars and unjury. Try the sample packs to see what you like. Not chalky at all. Most pre mixed are yucky though.

This talk makes me worry a little. I already have a man that is a little too big and a little too rough at times. I'm hoping I don't get any smaller in there, or we may have a problem. I already warned him when I get home we need to be having lazy sex for a bit. He agreed to try. Fingers crossed.

I had my surgery yesterday. Feelin pretty good. Just had 1.5 ounces of apple juice and got full. But it was so good after not being able to drink for so long! -
Off To Mexico, Nov 5Th 2012
sunshyneqtie replied to sunshyneqtie's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
They said we would be going to the hotel early in the morning, but they didn't say if that was US early or Mexican early. They are very laid back here, so sometimes when they say 8 they really mean 11 or 12. -

I'm in room 305. I have ventured up to the 4th floor twice to see Barbara in room 401. My friend keeps going up to make her walk. Which floor are you on? -
Dr. Fernando Garcia
sunshyneqtie replied to Jarrod1997's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Garcia is great. There are people here from both companies and everyone seems happy. I went with successfully slimmer which is a branch of a lighter me and while my coordinator wasn't here, janese from a lighter me took me in like I was one of hers. Very nice lady. -
November 5Th Sleevers?
sunshyneqtie replied to keri2142's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel great today. I heard day two was suppose to be worse than day one, but it hasn't been. I got to see my lil stomach on the X-ray machine during the leak test. It's pretty cute. Very much anticipating my apple juice! -

Yes, Dr Garcia does staples and sutures. He just told me that yesterday before my surgery. -
Any Good (Trusted) Dr. In Mexico For Sleeve
sunshyneqtie replied to chiki's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I had surgery yesterday too with Dr Garcia. He is very very nice. Before surgery he came to talk to me and even drew some pictures on his I pad to explain the surgery and where the incisions would be. He came to check on me today as well. I paid 4700, but I was told that was a special, then after that I heard he reduced it to 4500 for 1 month. I think his usual rate is 5000, so I'd shop around. I think there is different prices with different coordinators too. -

I made it out of surgery OK. Everyone is really nice here. We waited for two hours at the airport for our ride, so be mentally prepared just in case. No leak on my first leak test yeah! Going to get some ice here in a minute. A lady here said she had money stolen when she went for her leak test, so be careful with your stuff. She seems happy now though, so maybe the hospital worked something out or maybe she found it. I'm making my friend take my backpack every time she leaves. It has all our electronics and iIDs and passports. I had a lot of pain in my shoulder yesterday, but its not so bad today. Best of luck to you. See you Thursday. -
Mexico Doctors - Single Incision Procedure?
sunshyneqtie replied to mbamom's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I had Garcia yesterday. I have 3 incisions and a drain. He said there could be a fourth incision ify liver wasn't shrunk, but I guess it was ok, because I didn't get that one. They are tiny incisions though. I don't know what docs do the single incision, but is it a bigger incision? Because lap surgeries require more than one tool. Just curious. -

I am there right now. It is small, but clean with friendly staff. I bought a translator thing on my phone, just used it as they were going to give me a shot for veins. I asked if it was a blood thinner, just so I know. Most of the docs speak English well, some of the nurses not as well. Dr Garcia came in with his IPad and drew me some pictures to explain. He uses a 32 bougie, unless you ask for bigger, just so you know. I have a latex allergy, and kept having to remind the nurses, but I've had similar issues with that in the US, so it's not unusual. I was expecting to be walking laps, but it is more like a V. I am on the 3rd floor where the OR is though, so I don't know if its bigger on the fourth floor. Overall, nicer than I expected. Just not big. I think they said six rooms on each floor. Also, we got to the hospital at 8, but didn't go into the room for pre op testing til 11. There is a lot of hurry up and wait here, so be prepared with something to keep you occupied. I loaded some audio books on my Overdrive app on my I phone. Hope some of this helps.

No Vitamins Or Supplements Til Puree Stage
sunshyneqtie replied to Holly5.3's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I was told the stopping before surgery had something to do with the anesthesia. I didn't research it though. I just followed the rules they set. I wasn't expecting to be able to take them right after surgery, but they said yes, day two after the leak test. -
How Do You Pick A Coordinator?
sunshyneqtie replied to melshell1's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I went with successfully slimmer. They were great, but they don't come to Mexico. They are a branch of A lighter me. Jannese was here from a lighter me and she was very supportive and nice. -
Self-Pay, What If Dr. Doesn't Support
sunshyneqtie replied to theosmom's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I didn't tell my PCP, though I'm sure she will be happy to not have me in her office about al my pain Any more. I told my GI doc, whom I have worked with for 15 years and he was supportive. He even gave me meds to prevent gallstones and he did an upper Endoscopy to make sure I didn't have any ulcers or hiatal hernia. As far as labs for vitamin deficiencies, if my PCP won't run them, I will go see a naturopathic doc or go to the "Any lab test now" place by my house. If I am worried about a leak, I will see my GI doc or go to the ER. That's my plan. -
November 5Th Sleevers?
sunshyneqtie replied to keri2142's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel like someone stabbed me in the shoulder and turns the knife every so often. They say its from gas, so I am walking like crazy to get the air out. My side hurt a lil bit, but nothing major. Overall, Better than I expected. -
Any One Else Eating Like Its Going Out Of Fashion ?
sunshyneqtie replied to Sarah-lu1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I did the food funeral! Had to have Popeyes one last time. I gained 6 lbs between the time I decided to have surgery and my pre op diet. I lost 14 pounds on the pre op diet and I had a headache for the first 5 days, so I'm glad I didn't start it 5 days before surgery, because I would still have a headache right now as I sit in the hospital waiting for my surgery. I'm kinda glad I did the food funeral too though. It made my tummy feel so crappy, the two week pre op diet was a breeze other than the headache. -

November 5Th Sleevers?
sunshyneqtie replied to keri2142's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Definitely freaking out a bit. I think that's natural when surgery is so close. Actually, I think my body may have been freaking for a couple weeks. Only way I can explain why the pre op diet was so easy. -
