I was at Mi Doctor. He may have changed since then. I know he started the single incision surgery shortly after I had my surgery in November too. I really liked him. Very soft spoken and smiley.

November 5Th Sleevers?
sunshyneqtie replied to keri2142's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Down 84lbs. But, most importantly I have had serious reduction in pain! I walked around for 3.5 hours at the zoo with the kids and it didn't hit me Til the end that I couldn't have made it 20 minutes before Without some serious pain. This is my favorite part. My main reason for surgery. -

Opurity has calcium citrate chewable that are not bad. Also, sometimes I take the liquid wellesse calcium. I have the twinlab calcium citrate chewables too. The opurity tastes better to me, but both are doable.

I am free Tuesdays and Thursdays after 4 and most Sundays I am available all day (except the first 2 weekends in May). I would love to meet some other local sleevers. I am good with either option. I've only been to a restaurant once since surgery.

I want to know honest calorie intake
sunshyneqtie replied to lwilliams65's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think some people have an easier time with real food than others. I use the syntrax nectar shakes and those are only 100 cal/serving. I add protein to a skinny latte every morning, and it takes me hours to finish that at work, so I don't usually have an AM snack. 5 months out, I can finally eat 2oz of chicken at a time and I've been very happy about that. I know some people can eat anything right away, but I couldn't. I took one bite of pizza 2 months out and my stomach hurt for hours, so I had to wait a few weeks to try later. I still can't tolerate bread or rice. I am still usually between 500 and 700 cal per day unless I eat nuts. I can eat almonds or pistachios like crazy. I think it's all different from person to person. -
Agreed, the relationship with food does need to change. And after surgery, it does. It no longer has the importance it did. I still go out to eat, I just don't eat much. I can Celebrate things without food. And I make the choice not to partake in cake and whatnot. But I could if I wanted to. When I want to celebrate, I go shopping for new clothes. When I feel blah or depressed, I work out. Makes me feel awesome. If I want part of a candy bar, I eat part I a candy bar, but I know ahead of time that it will make me crave carbs like crazy for a few days after, so I usually don't. I'm so happy I did this surgery. No regrets.

I work at Overlake, but I just assumed I would have had to had my surgery there. Maybe I will look into it.

I never thought I would like this. But 1/2C FF cottage cheese, cinnamon and a stevia packet. (I use half a packet). Quite tasty. Makes for a good protein snack at work.

Sounds interesting. Never would have thought of that.

I live in Bothell. I wasn't sure if they would welcome people at support groups if you didn't have surgery with them. I had mine in TJ.

On my phone it only gives me the option to add from Facebook, email or contacts. Can u add with just the user name on the computer?

Puree protein ideas anyone?
sunshyneqtie replied to simonetwentynine's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Greek yogurt also tastes pretty good with a lot of the Syntrax nectar fruit flavors. I don't like the strawberry unjury by itself as a shake, but it really is good with fage. -
Binge Eating Food Funeral
sunshyneqtie replied to crazeegl99's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did the food funeral. Gained 7 lbs. I was sick of food though when I started my pre op diet. I think it's a typical response. Kinda wish I hadn't now. -

Fage 0 with strawberry unjury. It's good. I made eggplant Parmesan on purée stage. Not a lot of Protein though. Also used the unflavored Syntrax mix. Now I Mix it in a latte in the AM. At the beginning, I used the Yes whey protein shots to get my 60 grams minimum. U have to get them online though. The New Whey ones you find in the store are a bad source and they are really gross. -
I love that dressing!

Team please help
sunshyneqtie replied to Losing weight's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I felt like that for the first 2 months not every day though. i just felt like I had no stamina. Almost fell asleep at work a couple times and have pulled over for a power nap. It got better though. I am 4 months out now and I don't have that feeling anymore. I can work out for more than an hour and not get dizzy now, but it took awhile. Hope everything works out OK for you. -
