I am 26 years old and married to the love of my life. He has loved me unconditionally for 8 years - from 150 pounds to 250 pounds. I never struggled with my weight, I was an active kid and a cheerleader in high school. Once I stopped being so active in college and my terrible eating habits remained the same, I quickly put on weight and after many failed diet attempts and no real motivation to change, the next thing I knew, 100 more pounds were on me.

Since gaining weight, my periods have become irregular and despite several rounds of fertility treatments, acupuncture and more, we have never been able to conceive. I've gone to several specialists who ALL have told me that if I could just lose this extra weight, my periods would go back to normal and I should have no problem conceiving. I resisted for a while because you have to wait for so long after having the surgery and I wanted a baby now.

Now I wish I had made this decision a couple years ago when I first started thinking about it. I've recently moved across the country for my job and thought now is better than ever to have this surgery. I cannot wait to lose the weight, move back home and (hopefully) start our family. Anyways....that's my story, I can't wait to update it in a few months! :)
