I walked 4.2 miles today and I am only 2 1/2 weeks out from surgery. it took me 1 hour 49 minutes but I DID IT! I never exercised pre surgery so I am so estatic with myself! i just had to brag a little bit!!!!

This day has just been aweful. I went to my mom's to hang out this morning an she was baking choclate chip cookies! Um hello!!! I am on an all liquid diet, what are you doing??? Did she not realize the strength it took to watch that! I just feel like crying. I HATE going to the gym. I feel so out of place. I look like the cow in a field of twigs. I want to cancel my membership and just work out at home but my hubby wants me to keep going. It is so frustrating! My son who is two keeps trying to share all of his food with me (sweet that he is sharing, but frustrating that I can't eat it) and it breaks my heart. I just want to run away today. Sorry for the deppressing rant, had to get it of my chest!

I am only 12 days out and I feel like I am dying of thirst. I was a huge water drinker before surgery and I feel like now I can't get enough. I am always sipping and sometimes I even take a bigger gulp. I just don't feel satisfied anymore thirst wise.

my dr told me that my hair may get thin if I don't get all my protein in. try to up your protein and see if it helps

last supper? I had about about 10 different places that I wanted to go and meals that I wanted to cook before I had my surgery. It helped ease the blow of not being able to eat those unhealthy things anymore.

you are not a failure! If this was easy we would have all lost the weight by not being tempted. Just start over, every meal is a new chance to make the right choice. next time try to plan ahead and take some stuff with you. Good luck!

I know that I need to be working out but I feel so out of place at the gym. I really wish that there was someone in my area to get together with. I need more motivation to go... HELP!

I was just sleeved on 9/6 and my doctor told be I have to be on heartburn medicine for at least threee months.

I felt the same way. I didn't have a pre-op diet which I actually think made it harder. I felt like my surgery day was the day of death. I ate everything I could think of since I knew I wasn't going to have it after surgery. I even ad a list of restaurants that I had to go to before i would have my surgery. Food is our addiction and it will continue to be that way after surgery. Just stay positive and keep telling yourself that you have made this choice for a reason. keep that reason in the front of your mind all the time. good luck an I hope everything works out for you.

I am right there with you! I have been on liquid food for 9 days and have another 12 to go. I just want to eat something already!

I got sleeved on the 6th. I am emotionally struggling with the liqui diet. I just want to feel food in my mouth again. Everything else is going really well. Recovery time was nothing at all. Good luck to you.

I had the sleeve down on thirsday. I am finding it so hard to drink let alone get the 64 oz. that I'm suppoed to. so frustrating

I have only had a consulation with my dr so far.I have a preop appointment this friday and surgery the following thursday on 9-6. from what I can see almost everyone is on some sort of preop diet. My doctor has not said anything, do i need o star a liquid diet now???

I talked to my dr and they said no pre-op diet, i am so relieved!

I am scheduled for surgery on 9-6 with Dr. Dirk Rodriguez out of Dallas. He is such an awesome Dr. Both of my parents used him for gastric bypass surgeries and they have had excellent results. I am a cash pay and my total for everything is 9,700. Try and go to a few consultations, and make sure to find a doctor that is right for you.

That is ridiculous! it is amazing what you have done. i am sorry that no one in your life has commented on it. I am having my surgery on 9-6 and if no one comments on my hard work i would be upset too. thankfully their are others out there that can et you know you have done a wonerful job. keep up the har work

I haven't had my surgery yet but I can only hope to have this problem. My poor hubby has been so patient since their is just no desire on my end. Hopefully things will be changing soon. Oh, whet does DH stand for, I new to this forum thing.

I am glad to see that you are doing well after surgery. I am new on this thing so I hope this goes to the right place. I have my preposition spot. This Friday and then my surgery in on 9-6.

I am having the sleeve done on September the 6th. Excited but nervous, any advice?
