  8. Good Morning Just curious is anyone has noticed that they seem to bruise easier after surgery.. I am 3 months out and lately have noticed that the littlest things leave bruises on me.. I never bruised easy prior to surgery. I have bruises that I don't even know how I got.. just wondering if this is somehow tied to this

Does anyone seem to bruise easier post op?

Never thought of it because of less fat The cold thing is very true. I use to always be hot.. ran the air conditioning year round.. now I've been cold all the time, I actually wear socks around the house just because and have been using the heat all night! My husband is very thankful for that! I no longer sweat all the time.. the only time I sweat now is during a workout

    Pcos/period Advice!

Hey Ladies, So I have had PCOS for about 10 years... I haven't had a period in about that long..the only time i would get one is when my dr would have me take progesterone to force on on. But it wasn't a regular one on my own. I am a little over 2 1/2 months out and Monday I got my first real period on my own... this probably explains the sever moodiness the past few weeks that I couldn't figure out before. The last time I dealt with this was long I forgot what it was like. My only problem and question is how horribly bad it is! I know this is going to be TMI so i apologize ahead of time. I have to change my tampon less than once an hour.. and I"m using the strongest they come in.. I am even extra protecting and wearing a pad.. and am thankful cause its that bad. My boobs had been so sore to the touch the past week that even wearing a bra was uncomfortable. That has now passed. I am having such bad cramps and can't do anything becuase I don't want to be too far from home or the bathroom... My question is I know this is becuase of the PCOS and my body adjusting to being normal again. Does it get any better after a few cycles? I can't even remember what my periods were like when I use to get them, I know they were not this bad.. I called my Dr and they said there isn't anything they can do for me..I'm just so weak and worried about losing too much blood. Any advice from fellow PCOS er's or non that have eperienced this would be greatly appreciated. I'm at a lost.. my husband obviously can't understand and I feel bad that I have banned him from our bathroom and he has to use the guest one for now. LoL.

    Pcos/period Advice!

Thank you Tesla Mine only lasted about 5 days, it was super bad and i did speak with my OB and they said to call back if it lasts longer than 7 days so they can check my iron level and my red blood cell count. Luckily it stopped after 5 days.. I am now waiting to see if I get it on time next month and how it is.. being that it's been a good 10 years since my body has been going through this my OB said that this may happen for the first few months until my body regulates again.. Thanks for the advice
  15. Hey All! Since I was told to stay away from Pasta ( I haven't even tried it and don't want to) I wanted to know if there were any sleeve friendly pasta alternatives? I use cauliflower for rice and I love it, but am seeing if there is an alternative for pasta.. or if there is a pasta out there that this friendly for us Any suggestions would be appreciated

    So Grumpy :(

I am about 2 1/2 months out and have been so grumpy the past few weeks. I have never been a grumpy bad mood type of person... I have had super bad road rage and things that never would have bothered me in the past get to me so easily! I'm wondering if anyone else has had these type of mood changes? I'm happy with my decision, so I'm not sure why I'm so easily irritated lately!!

    So Grumpy :(

I'm just thankful for a very understanding husband who knows to not be in my way right now. LoL... I'm hoping this doesn't last....I did go for a walk at lunch and it helped so maybe I just need to up my exercise if that's even possible for me right now... I already do hour long kickboxing/boxing classes and a boxing gym 3-4 times a week plus walking everyday.. but being that I work full time and by full time its about 50-55 hours a week and I am in school full time pursuing my MBA... ugh.. but if that will keep me from being grumpy... ahhh. sorry for the long rant. LOL.

    So Grumpy :(

I am not weepy or extra emotional, just grumpy.. My poor husband LoL. I'm averaging about 50 grams a protein a day I haven't noticed that its been related to anything. It just recently started the last 2 weeks... Thanks for everyone's thoughts... If it continues I might give my Dr a call... Thanks
  23. And I feel absolutely amazing!!! I am down 61.6 pounds since my surgery day! Thanksgiving was not as tough as I thought. I had turkey with no skin, had a bite of a few other things and I was full and satisfied without sabotaging my eating for the day! This was the best decision I have ever made, my only regret is not doing it sooner. This not only saved my life but enhanced it in so many other ways. It is hard to describe how life changing this really is. I have a long way to go still but have had a great start! Just had to share how great I feel
  24. 63.2 pounds down and loving how good it feels to work out!
