When You Need Motivation Or Have Qs I'm Happy To Help :)
Julie Ann replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hello, My surgery was July 25th, 2012. I've lost 40 pounds so far, but I know I could be doing better. I haven't started my work out routine, but I have set it up to begin with a trainer on September 17th. I have some questions, and I don't really have anyone to ask unless I keep calling the doctor. I don't want to bother her all of the time! First of all, I know I'm supposed to get 60-80 grams of protein in a day. I drink Isopure, so I get 40 grams from one bottle. My dietician told me I could have one Isopure a day and get the rest of my protein from the food I eat during the day. That being said....how many times a day am I supposed to eat? It's hard for me to know because I'm not hungry most of the time, so I don't know if I should eat or not. I haven't been tracking, but after reading a lot of posts today it sounds like it would be a good idea for me to do. I also started having some pretty bad swelling in my feet, ankles, and lower legs yesterday. I put my feet up last night, and the swelling went down a little overnight but not all of the way. Is this normal? I'm open to any and all suggestions that will help make my journey a success. I thank each of you for sharing your stories. They are informative and inspiring! -
I am 4.5 weeks post op and my right side is really hurting me. It feels like someone has kicked me in the ribs. I've also been having trouble eating even 1/4 of a cup of food (as my nut says I should be able to eat now). Has anyone else had this experience?

I didn't realize that you could still have problems with the ducts. Thank you all for your advice!

I had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago. I also vomited for the first time since the recovery room yesterday. I am dehydrated. Had 3 bags of IV fluid yesterday and it was during this time that I threw up. I don't think I got sick from eating too much. I only had a few bites of a scrambled egg.

Blue Raspberry and Grape Frost are my favorites as well. My first order of Isopure RTD was a variety case. This gve me the chance to taste all of them and decide what I liked the best before I placed my next order.

I also found that Isopure is the best option for me. I have a hard time with some of the powdered mixes but the RTU Isopure is a juice more than a shake. Some of the flavors are not so great, but compared to my other choices I'll take it! Getting that much protein in with one drink is much more easier than trying to keep track of how many scoops you've used in a day.

Will someone define "slimies" please? -
Does hair loss happen to everyone, or is there something I can do to prevent it?
