I hope you do well in your career - opera is one of my passions and I hope one day to come and hear you perform perhaps at the Metropolitan Opera House or La Scala in Milan. Just think we could have a bandster trip to Milan so move it along will you? Smilin_Apple - OMG will you get a degree after all the classes you need to take? Here in Canada we don't have to do any of it. Although the post-op support at my clinic is amazing....no classes required .

Sweetforlife - it has not happened to me personally but I read in one of these threads that if you walk on all fours like a dog it really helps. Sounds weird but a few have mentioned it. I've also read that if you walk around and move your shoulders that helps as well. Try it and let us know how you're doing.

Welcome to bandland Sybaritic01! The worst is over. Now you have to go through 6 weeks of healing - clear fluids, full fluids, mushy foods ... first fill, 2nd fill, third fill....then you have to start changing your eating habits, blockages...chew slowly....:biggrin1:. Two months banded and I'm talking like a pro . Have I mastered them all? Yeah right! But I'm loving my journey learning all of it and you will too. Best of luck to you.

I am a wine groupie as well Since my banding I've enjoyed a couple of glasses of wines (usually limited to 1/2 a cup). My next drinking 'binge' will be this coming Monday (my birthday). I will splurge, buy Masi Amarone and thoroughly enjoy one full glass of wine.....no comments from the peanut galleries please :biggrin1:

Hello to all: Haven't been on this site much - busy with work/home and enjoying the wonderful weather. PigsRflying - congrats on your recent surgery and JC hope you are feeling much better. I am busy concentrating on learning how to live with the band. After 2 restrictions I can still eat quite a bit which worries me. I go for my 3rd fill next week and I hope that will reduce the amount of food I'm shoving into my big mouth. I still don't understand when I'm full and I get a lot of cravings. I'm also concerned about stretching my pouch. I've joined a health club and do aquafit classes 3-4 times per week and the rest of the time I swim in my brother's pool. I'm getting excited since I'm starting to see my body change and it's such a great feeling. For the time being, I'm not interested in doing any dating until I lose all my weight and that's the vibe I'm putting out there. Therefore, nobody dares to cross that threshold :biggrin1:. I'm counting the days to the end of September when I'm planning to visit North Port Florida and spend 12 days going to the springs and basically improving my health. First of all Angelbear congratulations I'm looking at your ticker and thinking "man I hope that's me in August 2008". I'm having the same issues as everyone else on this thread. I had my first fill and I can eat EVERYTHING in large amounts. Today, I lost my 'banded virginity' by experiencing my first blockage . GEEEZZZ I heard and read so much about it but the feeling you get is UNEXPLAINABLE...it's almost like childbirth at the wrong end...well...lose the virginity and give birth . I didn't realize how much you can bring up....enough said. On a positive note my scale is FINALLY moving again :whoo:. Take care everyone.

Hello from sunny, hot and humid Toronto! Nothing much happening on my end. I had my first fill and my first blockage...I can now say I am no longer a banded virgin.:biggrin1: I am currently on vacation and catching up with my other single friends - none of them know I have been banded and I think I will keep this quiet for a while...I really don't want what's happened to Derbygirl to happen to me. Hello to all: Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer. Haven't posted in a while - busy at work and home. This summer I have a lot of weddings, christenings, showers etc. I have seen more restaurants and banquet halls than I care to admit and it's not over :faint:. That's what happens when you come from a big Italian family. Today I had my fist fill (4cc) and today I'm only on liquids. I'll see what happens tomorrow when I start on solids again. Tomorrow is also my last day at work and then I'm on vacation until the 30th of July. Nothing much planned - I'll be doing a couple of small overnight trips (Niagara Falls and Thousand Islands) and I'll vegetate in my backyard for the rest of the time. That's all the news at my end. Hello Christpygal and Karla: Thanks for your warm welcome. Toronto is a great city but the dating scene is the same as everywhere else. How many of us have gone to nightclubs/bars and watched the guys holding up the walls? I was born in Italy and moved to Toronto when I was 13 years old. I've lived here ever since (with the exception of 4 years when I moved to Montreal for work reasons). I love Toronto, it's a beautiful multicultural city filled with single people and yes it can be great fun - but finding your soulmate is as difficult as any other big city.
