I know tomorrow is my day and my stomach is flipping and turning inside out. I have no appetite and i am just plain nervous and shaky. Pray for me.

How are you feeling? I have H.Pylori too. My doc wants me to wait until after surgery. I have surgery tomorrow.

I tested positive too. My doctor is having me wait until after surgery to take the meds. I have surgery on Sept.17. I was a little worried but doc said it was okay.

we have the same surgery day.. it is getting down to the wire and the nerves are kicking in.... but i am ready for a new life...to be healthy and happy

How long did it take you to return to work? How did you feel? Teaching is very demanding I need to know how you guys coped with it when you returned.

It's not so bad after the 2nd day...Just keep telling yourself that you control the food and the food does not control you. I am on day 9 of the pre-op.

It looks like to need to take more than 2 weeks off. I teach 5th grade. I am already suffering with the fact that I have the leave them with a sub but i have to take care of me. I also wanted to know how did you eat your lunch? I only have a 20 minute lunch break (with the students of coarse). It takes at least 30 minutes to get the meal down. I guess I will figure these things out with time.

I am glad that i ran across this forum, i am getting sleeved on Sept. 17.

I am ready but i am also nervous. I know that GOD is going to take care of me because he aint through with me yet. I am pre-admitted and HUNGRY...lol. My surgery is Sept. 17. My family was/is not happy with me doing this but they are supporting me because they know that i have made up my mind. I have learned a lot about myself during this pre-op diet 1. i am truly addicted to food and will have to work on my mental everyday(as i do now) 2. I know that i have strong will power and will be able to get through this successfully 3. i will not be able to do this without my surgery.. i know that it will really aide in my weightloss.... 4. I AM PRAYED UP AND READY!!!

I'm doing well. I have had some raging moments about food. I have not cheated YET but this is not the easiest. My surgery is on Sept. 17. i have got to say this pre-op diet makes you want to cut your own stomach...lol... I make my choices one day at a time. This pre-op diet is the start of a new life.

You are devorcing food. It feels like i am losing a best friend. I have been on the pre-op diet for 6 days now. I hate going anwhere other than work(because i got to) and home. I hate looking at tv, resturants, any thing dealing with food. With that said, it's normal!!

I am able to have them now. I am on the pre op diet though. Don't know about the post op. I will have to ask my NUT. Oh!! they are not totally sugar free because they have milk in them. There is just so sugar added.

Did your doctor tell you how much of your stomach he removed? How did they decided? Just curious if they remove less are you less likely to have a leak? I am so nervous about my surgery. I am just thinking about all the bad stuff.

I go through this a lot. My surgery is Sept 17th. I have never had surgery for anything. So this is my very first time. My mind is racing a mile a minute. With fear, happiness, scared, elated....etc. So I am just trying to stay positive. I watch/read stories others have written about their surgery and my emotions change. Some stories make me think "this is why you are gettting the surgery" and some that I see make me think "is the surgery really necessary" I keep telling myself yes because i am 30, 5'3, 302lb and i have a family that needs me (husband and 4 children). I would like any and all prayers as i am going through this journey.

I am really praying hard for you as i don't know what to tell you. I have 3 children and have not had my surgery yet. Stuff like this really scares me. I am praying that my surgery goes smoothly as we are to 2 parent working household. I will keep you in my prayers. I can't imagine going to the hospital for so long.... Stay strong and don't give up....

I will be sleeved on Sept 17 I am 30. I am nervous as HELLO! Anyway how was your pain level? How long was your recovery post sleeve? How much are you able to get down now? What type of protein are you drinking?

I really feel like throwing out my tv. It seems like since I started my pre-op diet everything about food has been popping on the screen. Is it just that i want to eat it or am i just seeing things differently? EMOTIONS

I am going through the same thing as you. I too have 3 children and my husband will have to take care of them while i am in the hospital. I am praying that i dont have any complications because i need to be home with my babies. My sister is going to stay with me the 1st night that i am in the hospital. My husband will stay home. I figure i should be good the 2nd night as i wont be on the meds so heavily. I hope!!

I am also getting an early bday gift. My bday is Sept. 30 and my surgery day is Sept. 17th. I usually go out for a big dinner with my sisters dont know what i am going to do this time.
