Way to go! I'm down 10 and feeling better already! Hunger pains come and go I keep busy to try and ignore them. Especially at night! I just go to sleep lol

I'm 9/3 and feel the same way! I have been able to handle the Protein Shakes and working out but by the end of the day I'm exhausted! Growing anxious and nervous but ready for the change!

How active are you after the surgery? Mine is scheduled for 9/3 I'm so excited! Yet concerned about recuperation time. I know everyone is different but I have read some people are out shopping the next day! How do you feel?

@graybeauty LOL I get the same here! You have such a pretty face but what about the rest of me? I told my best friend and she tried to convince me otherwise. Saying what an invasive procedure it was and if I only worked out and watched what I ate I would be fine. Hello? Do you think I haven't tried many many times before? This is a personal decision and even if more support would be helpful you do this for YOU!

What a fantastic birthday present! I turn 30 in November so this is a big step. I get sleeved 9/3! I too have only told a handful of people and feel alone...not all support this step

I get hungry as well or maybe it's just head hunger. Trying to work on that myself! I can't wait to not be hungry!

I'm 9/3 and already getting tired of water! I was told to drink lots of water and the thought makes me sick! Yuck! Any suggestions? I need buddies too! I pray everyday and thank God every day I don't fall into temptation!

I read that you were out getting your hair done, was this after surgery? I read that a lot of people are out sight seeing and shopping after surgery, is this common?

MrsCT where in Mexico did you see Dr Rod? I have my surgery scheduled for 9/3 with Dr Rod in Mexico as well. Would love to pick your brain as I am getting nervous

Thank you for sharing your story! I can relate to it because my mother adnd father are opposed to and even had me feeling insecure about my decision! I love the quotes by UTGal99 they are so trrue and inspiring! I am 29 taking more medications than my parents combined. The decision is not to look pretty but to be healthy! I have also found encouragement and suport in this forum!

It has been a struggle for me at work, especially now that it is lunch time! My doctor gave me a high protein diet that include shakes and chiken/fish and vegetables. It is very hard becuase obviously I did not get at my weight eating fish, chiken, or vegetables! I have found that reading this forum has helped me a lot! When I feel like I can't take it anymmore I log on and see what evryone else is doing. I am really looking forward to my sleeve, I have sabatoged myself so many times on previous diets I can't let myself down on this one! Remember why you are doing this, there may be many reasons but ultimately it is for you and your health! I have been drinking lots of water and it has helped curb the cravings. You can do this!

5K in TJ? Wow that's a good price! I have been talking to Dr. Rod at StarMedica in Cd. Juarez a little higher price but closer to home. I have been to the city and it seems ok the area where the hospital is it is very nice. I'm a lil scared about the infection now...but very excited to hear all this weight loss from all the members!

My picture says it all lol! I haven't been cranky but lethargic. I'm ready for my life to change so it's worth it!

I feel the same way! My doctor does not require a weight loss before surgery but does want me to follow a high protein low carb diet. I am doing a shake in the AM and the PM! I am super excited and at the same time super scared! If that is even possible!
