1 year out....6 months of stall

Hi, I was sleeved in August last year, I had alot of weight to lose. Started at 347, Now I'm 212, down 134lb's. I was "stalled" since April at around 222, that dreaded stall. Then I looked at what I was eating/drinking...I was essential in maintenance mode. I was eating "normal". Anything in moderation, as I looked close I realized that I was so close to where my surgeon wanted me to be (any weight with a 1 in front of the number he was thrilled) I decided to really buckled down and give myself the chance to be successful, then I could go back to eating "normal". Last Friday, a week ago I started divas basic boot camp, I'm down ten pounds, carb beast is tamed, I know I can do this and now I'm tl giving myself the chance! You can do this too! The first couple days are the hardest because of the sugar cravings but you are worth this opportunity, you are worth this! Search divas basic boot camp, if you need any help please ask our support for that matter. Good luck!

I've been over 200 pounds since high school, which has been 23 years. I'm now at 223... Only twenty four pounds to go to be under ... I've been stuck here for awhile, but I know I will get there!

I don't know what else to do!

I was in your same boat... At seven months I to stalled for about a month and a half. I had started working out and I was still eating good, my carbs had upped a bit not all at once but a few at a time. I decided to go back to the basics ten days ago I started with "divas boot camp" (you can search it on this site) 5 strict days of lean protein, chicken, seafood, nuts including pb, protein shakes. Only green veggies, no fruits, lots of water/ fluids, no sugar or extra carbs. It was so difficult the first two days, I didn't realize how bad the carb beast had got me. After that I got that great nasty taste in my mouth that comes from ketosis, then in the last ten days I've lost nine pounds. Its amazing how when we get back on track we can get moving again. I drink the pure protein shakes, and the premium shakes. I only have one a day. I eat alot of shrimp, the peel and eat kind I like them cold, cheese, cottage cheese, chicken, lettuce, salads with balsamic vinegar for dressing, avocados, nuts and drink tons. I'm not ever really craving anything since that first couple of days. It works, you can do it... We can do it!

    Using the Scale for Accountability

I'm 8 months out and until just last month I only weighed once a week, because of the freak out issue. Around I guess a month and a half I had a stall it lasted till about nine days ago. I started to weigh everyday. I had started working out really faithfully, and eating right, I knew I was doing the right things and somehow the freak out issue left. I know the closer I get to goal I will want to rely on how I feel, look more than the number so it is OK if I stall. My size is continuing to shrink and my shape is defining. I have lost 123 since August, went from a 5x to a xl top comfortably, 32w to 16/14. I'm feeling great and starting to finally "see" the changes. I really feel like weighing everyday will prepare me for maintenance. I've talked to my "skinny" friends most of them weigh everyday, most of them have a ten pound range that they allow their bodies the fluctuation that we all know we have, if they go five pounds up... They start to watch what they eat... Closer to ten really go strict on diet and up exercise until back in range... Most of them never get to ten because they are watching. Sorry for the novel... But this is a great question. I will be interested to read others comments. My stats SW 8/7/12 347 Cw 4/18/13 223

    August Sleevers..what Is The Progress

I've been stuck also... I've up'ed my exercise which wasn't anything before and now have been stuck for a few weeks.. Up and down the same couple pounds. I'm trying not full get frustrated. Of course I have noticed that I'm able to eat just about anything now, in smaller portions, so I really need to deal with my food issues that I thought were gone. Just hanging in there, glad to know I'm not alone!

    Venting-breakdown today

Just remember you have alot of fluid and gas from the surgery. It takes a bit to get Rid of that. I know it is hard, try to be patient and give your body time to get through the shock. The weight will come of as long as your following your rules. Welcome to the losers bench!

    Pureed diet

Walmart has tiny food processors for like 9 dollars. As long as your food had a consistency of applesauce you will be OK. Enjoy your pureed meatballs, I did that on occasion! And welcome to the losers bench!

Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?

Thanks to Butter and this thread, I started c25k yesterday, on a treadmill, started out running the whole time, then about hallway through could only run about half the time (while swearing loudly at the little voice telling me to run) I have always been that person saying that if you saw me running call the cops, someone is chasing me. I am determined to try this out for a bit, who knows underneath all that fat, might be a girl who actually likes to run...

Ok, I've always said to my friends, "if I'm running or cross country skiing, call the police because someone is chasing me!" But after reading this thread I actually read up on the app...haven't downloaded yet, but think I will...

    excercise

Hi Shabani, I had surgery in August 2012, just over 6 months ago. I have lost 110 lbs. I'm sad to say that I haven't worked out hardly at all. If you search "lazy" you will find my story along with others on another thread. My doctor has asked me to start doing 30 minutes 3x a week to get my heart rate up, and I should, but just so you know it does come off. I'm am very careful about what I eat. I know my exercise history so I have too be very strict about the food.

    I'm in the thirties!

I also just hit the thirties...I'm sitting at 237. I cannot believe that I have this tool that is going to help me get and stay where I need to be. I will finally be "normal", "average"! And I am learning how to stay there...I love my sleeve! Congratulations to us!
