Ok, I did it! W3D1..I really didn't think I could run the minutes but I did! Then I actually did the treadmill for an additional 30 minutes, ten of those on the highest incline... I don't think I will be sitting anytime soon... My butt muscles are killing me!

Need some tips for gallstones!
Meliss000 replied to Kellyj574's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My ultrasound came back with no gallbladder problems. I'm glad it is ok, not sure if the pain is reflux, or muscle... I'm just going to start to really document when it happens. -
I had my surgery at St Lukes, I was very lucky that I missed all that stuff. In fact I didn't even know he was gone until I showed up at my three month appointment. It was then I realized how different it was and I chose to follow Metz after that. He was approved through my insurance for my 6 month check. He is a great doctor and person. I really like how it seems like he remembers my whole family and situation when I go there. Also now that he is on his own he can operate on my hernia.

I'm just getting ready to do w3d1 today after kids go to school. It has taken me forever to get here, I still have my hernia... Getting fixed soon so I'm going slow. Not sure if I can run 3 minutes, but we will see. My weight loss has really slowed, guess with all my exercising I need to up my good calories...I will report in later!

Need some tips for gallstones!

I had my ultrasound this morning. It should be at my surgeons this afternoon, tomorrow at the latest. My pain radiates up through my collar bone and into my back shoulder blade. I also thought it was heartburn... We will see... -

Need some tips for gallstones!

I'm in a similar situation, I am having symptoms of gallbladder. so I also am going as low fat possible. I'm having an ultrasound on Tuesday morning. Good luck to both of us! -
I'm in Aurora also. I can't believed I've never seen this thread.. Let's get it going again.... I'm a year out, sleeved by Dr. Metz. I would love to get in contact with more people here

I'm in Denver also, well Aurora, but I'm a year out, if you need anything, feel free to me. Good luck!

Great another thread to get me focused... This time I won't wait so long before I add to it. Thanks to Bean and Fiddle, I'm committed to C25K. I'm actually liking it.. Granted not when wagging (walking/jogging), I'm not a runner yet... To much shakes and bounces, plus the hernia I have makes it hard, I really like the way I feel when I complete the day! I'm 1 year out, I do C25k 3 times a week, if I can't leave the house due to kids I do an hour on my elliptical. I use a ball and free weights, plus walking lunges and sumo squats. Can't do much with abs because of hernia. I try to do something anytime I want to watch tv, so at nights if I turn on the tube, I have to do something to benefit me.

I really agree with what is being said, I too "stalled" for months...I was really getting aggravated and disappointed. Then I really looked at what I was eating...I was eating "normal", I wasn't stalled I was really maintaining. Which is great if I was at maintenance. But I'm not, I still have 20-30 to go, so I went back to basics, protein, fluid... Since I've dropped some more and I'm going to continue keeping track until I'm really ready to maintain. Good luck and know your not alone!

Just to get back on track, I started c25k again, on w2d2, but in afraid I'm catching the stomach flu... So might be a few days before day 3, I've gotten to a 13 minute mile, which given last year I weighed 347..Not to shabby...

I just received the fit bit one for my birthday on Thursday. I've really liked it. It syncs right with mfp, also it is a clip instead of a bracelet so I'm the only one that knows I'm wearing it. It comes with a sleep band and it tracks your sleep patterns, it is interesting. Oh and tracks floors, level changes, I never realized how many times I went up and down my stairs. I agree that it really makes me Strive to reach those 10000 steps and my goal for active minutes/calories burned. The app for fitbit is free, which many others are not. You can link it right to Mfp and it keeps track of calories in/out... Can you tell I am enjoying it?

I'm also in Denver/Aurora area. I've been here 14 years, never really been hiking, wasted alot of time being overweight... That is changing!

Before and After Pics
Meliss000 replied to Roserie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Almost one year out, 347 lb's, in that picture. I was at 220 in the second. I'm actually at 212 today. 135 lb's gone forever -
I also take regular vitamins with a sip of water, a sublingual B12 and calcium in morning, multi at lunch, calcium at dinner, calcium at bedtime. Three calciums because my Hubby bought the petite 400 mgs each

How much is too much?
Meliss000 replied to Camella's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was taught to clean your plate always. As an adult that is still engraved in my brain. I think I'm starting to etch it out, but to make life simple I eat on a saucer. That way when I put food on it, it is a very small amount. Makes the battle in my mind easier to win. Good luck!
