    Richmond Virginia Sleevers Around?

Wow. I hope it get's better for you. Do you know of anything about Dr. Carmody or heard anything about him. He's going to be doing my surgery. Do you go to the group meetings? I'm thinking about going to a few. I'm in Fredericksburg though.

    Preparation before the big day

I have a few months to learn about this surgery and prepare for success. I do want to be successful and I don't want to take such a risk and not have it be to my advantage. I want to figure out a way that I can get my mind and eating right in the 9mths I have until I'll be having surgery. I've already cut out the sodas. Sweets, fast food, and not eating a balanced diet are my problems. Oh, and not enough exercise. It seems hard as hell to make these changes, and I'm not sure how i'm going to do them. I've written down several plans on paper, but the action part is the hardest. I'll start off doing okay, and then revert back to those bad habits. How can I really get down and put in the work? I need more action, instead of more words on paper. My motivation for action has been always low. My desire for success is at it's highest point. Desire=high, Action=low How can I get these two things in balance with one another? That is my challenge in the months to come. I'm willing to take any suggestions given.

  11. I have a minimum of 9mths before being approved for surgery. I've eliminated drinking the sodas. I have to work on the fast food and sweets. I have been eating until my stomach feels like it's going to pop during the holidays. I have to get back on track. Thanks to the previous posters about the advice.
  12. I hope it works out this time.

    Anyone have to wait 12mths?

Commonwealth of Virginia making me wait 12 mths. Ugh. I have 9 more to go. If you've been through it, how did you spend your time?

I have to do all of this before they will approve of me to have WLS.

    Anyone have to wait 12mths?

I have to participate in their weight coaching program for 12mths and also enroll in a weight loss program like Weight Watchers. I enrolled in TOPS.
  21. I've been watching Once Upon a Time, and they talk alot about true love. I've experienced teenage love, but my boyfriend cheated on me several times. I ended up being a teenage mom also. I've moved away and have been single for about 10yrs. I'm 34 now, and wonder if I'll ever find true love. I'm hoping that once I have the sleeve, I'll lose weight and be more "desirable." Though, I really want someone to love me for me, thick or thin? Where are guys out there like that, if any? Tired of being single.

Is it possible to find true love?

I def think I was overlooked.

Is it possible to find true love?

Fishy, I understand. There were guys that I wouldn't normally chose. There was one guy I exchanged messages with and then all of a sudden nothing. Just no true connections. Trust me they were not viable options. Though I get what you're saying.
