Lol! I'm sorry, I know you must be upset but your post cracked me up cuz I can totally relate! Damn wings! I agree with John, lift some weights. I know that mine would be a heck of a lot worse had I not been using weights while I watch tv in the evenings for the past few months. Just get you some 2lbs ones and do little exercises while you watch tv. That has helped me.

Ahhhh! Think i made a mistake

That's good to know! I have one of those by me, I'll have to check it out, thanks! -
Yes, I started losing it at about 2.5 months out. Sucks. It's always all over my shirt, in food I cook, on the couch, pillow in my bed...uhhh!! And I've gotten in all my protein since week 2. I think it's just something that happens and there are a few lucky ones it doesn't happen to and nobody knows why. The only one who's noticed so far tho is me, no one else.

Your post actually made me tear up a little! I love reading you made it to your goal. That's so amazing! You should be very proud of yourself! You will be able to get these last few pounds off, I know you will. Congratulations on reaching goal!

Don't you just love that feeling? Makes it all worth it when you can put on clothes that used to be too tight. You look super cute too! Love the dress!

My stomach was extremely swollen! It's normal. After about a week it was looking better but I had swelling for a few weeks in my tummy. Yeah, I can't imagine trying to wear pants, I lived in sundresses for the first few weeks due to the swelling.

They have a Peanut Butter powder called PB2 and its good for mixing in Protein drinks. I actually ordered mine on eBay and it was pretty inexpensive. I doubt you hurt anything but for the first few weeks I would stay away from peanut butter, the crunchy kind anyway. Also, peanut butter has a lot of calories which is another reason I use the PB2. -
Very nice! I'm jealous!

Every dr is different and it's important to check and see how your dr wants you to progress. I had to do all liquids for the first week then started eating regular food provided I chewed it up very well. But some drs want you on liquids for several weeks first. So check with your dr or NUT first before you decide to progress on your own.

Yum!! I love sushi! Can't wait to have it, But I still have to wait a few more months! I think a stir fry with some beef or chicken would be bomb! That sounds good! Now I want Japanese food!

Pureed foods? how soon ?
MrsG replied to steph41573's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh that sucks! I was really lucky. I didn't have to do a liquid diet prior to surgery, I watched what I ate but never went to liquids. After surgery I did liquids for 1 week then was released to eat regular food, just had to make sure to chew really well. It's crazy how different every drs thinking is on this. Hang in there, you're almost out of this phase. Just tell yourself it'll all be worth it in the end. Good luck! -

I agree, for now measure everything! You won't be able to feel the full feeling for a bit still. -
The best way to sleep
MrsG replied to KayCTheNewMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I slept on my back. It was the only way I could sleep which sucks because I'm a side sleeper! You just have to find a position that works for you, if you need to use 1000 pillows, go for it! Do what makes you feel comfortable. It's just going to be a little uncomfortable for a while til you heal more. Good luck! -
Feeling regretful, does this pass?
MrsG replied to BriDawn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Poor thing! Yes it gets better! I remember thinking the same thing! My surgery and recovery (as far as my body goes) went very well, no problems but I was tired a lot. I took lots of naps and just felt blah. I did have a few days of "what the hell did I do to myself" but for me it has gotten so much better! Once you can eat real food again things start looking up. You just gotta make it thru this short time and things will get better. Good luck and hang in there! -
I was actually approved for the switch from my ins. My surgeon has done the sleeve part and is hoping that's all I need. However if I stop losing weight and I'm doing all I can she can go back in and complete the switch. I'm praying I can do it all with the sleeve. I don't want another surgery. So far so good, at my 3 month weigh in I've lost 80lbs. I was 413 day of surgery and am now 333 as of a week ago. And other ppl on here have lost a lot so I'm hopeful!

My dr was a bit more strict and didn't want me lifting anything heavy (over 10lbs) til I was fully healed at 8 weeks. Check with your surgeon first tho.

Why is my weight loss slowing down so much? HELP!
MrsG replied to suzqlvq's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 3.5 months out and am eating 800-1000 calories a day. At my 3 month mark I had lost 80lbs, I try to weigh only once a month. I just had a knee injury so I haven't gone to the gym recently but I was going 4 times a week like you. Play with your calories, if ur doing 1200 maybe take it down a bit or cut out carbs, increase your Protein, drink more Water....try a few things, it will start coming off again if you just keep working at it! -

Gaining during surgery
MrsG replied to michelle4873's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh yeah, my stomach looked huge for like 2-3 weeks after. It was gross. I gained 10lbs the morning after surgery and was mildly horrified! It comes off tho, the more you heal. -
I need some serious meal planning help
MrsG replied to Roserie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's kind of tough to give a menu when we don't know what your eating plan is post surgery. My dr had me on liquids for 1 week and solid food after that. Some ppl on here have like 2-3 weeks of liquids, then several weeks of mushy foods, then solids, ever dr is different. For me I did a lot of refried Beans, chicken salad, scrambled eggs and yogurt. No breads/grains for 6 months. Dinners I kinda did separate things from my husband which was kind if a pain, but now we eat together. Ooh, Jenny o turkey chili was a fave in the early days too. I enjoy chicken thighs on the BBQ, the meat stays tender and is easy to eat. It's important to get in as much Protein as you can when you eat. That will be a challenge, getting in 60-80 grams in the beginning. And your son is adorable, I'm jealous! Good luck! -
Nicely done! You look fabulous!
