I met my hubby online. I did give it up on the first meeting tho. I think it depends on a lot if things like Pdxman said. Your age, how many partners you've had, how you view sex etc. most of the time it's the woman calling the shots so I guess it's up to you to decide how you want this meeting to go. I would say typically if you want something long term hold out on the sex. But then again, that wasn't my case, I was lucky and we've been married now for 3 years. It's a tough one, good luck!

Relationship issues after surgery?
MrsG replied to Dreamingofhealth's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I completely agree! This journey involves the both of you and bringing him along to meetings, appt, etc is a great way to include him and make him feel part of things. My husband is the same way, very supportive. Hes a marathon runner with a great body but he loves me and wants to be there for me. He eats what i do and has even stopped drinking with his meals. All of this only makes me love him even more than I already do. I involved him in everything that I did from the start. I think the hardest thing for me was him hearing how much I weighed the day of my surgery. I was so ashamed but he was amazing and told me how proud he is that I'm doing something about it. You will need all the support you can get after surgery. I make sure to tell him too that I appreciate all of his support. And now that my libido has shot thru the roof I make sure to show him quite often too -
I have the opposite problem...mine is soooo dry! I'm thinking its a little of hormones, Protein and ketosis. I could be wrong, I'm just hoping everything balances out after a few months.

MRI scan... can you ever get one after VSG?
MrsG replied to Oakleygirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Oh, good question! I had one a few months before surgery for my back. I'd like to know the answer too. -
I was one of the lucky ones that had no problem getting in their fluids daily and my urine was still dark for the first few weeks. Do your very best and just keep sipping, keep a bottle of Water with you at all times. I drank water, hot tea and chicken broth. Try not to get dehydrated, this forum has some threads of ppl getting dehydrated and it does not sound fun at all! Good luck!

I feel your pain. Make sure when you do have sex, try to pee right after. I also have to rinse out otherwise I get a UTI super quick! I'm really sensitive there. For me it feels like when you are peeing and try to stop it mid flow, you get an almost painful tickling feeling. You know youre done peeing but you get that painful tickle like you need to keep going but cant. That's what mine feel like anyway. When I do feel one coming on I take a few cranberry caplets for a few days and it goes away. Check with your doctor tho and good luck.

Ah yes the boobs *sigh*.....well my cup size stays the same no matter the weight, currently 44G. The only difference now is that because I'm 39 they have now become saggy with this weight loss! I hate it! So yes, after I lose my weight I totally want a reduction/lift. I have been big boobed my whole life and am looking forward to at least a C cup and giving my back a much needed break! Lol!

Yes!! Mine was driving me crazy then I recently went on another thread about lotions and tried one that was recommended. I'm using Palmers Cocoa Butter and it is awesome! My skin feels so soft, my dry Patches are going away and I've only been using it for 2 days now. How about chapped lips? Mine are so bad I constantly have Chapstick on them!

Good luck to you! I'm hoping to get mine every month and praying this time wasn't just a fluke. Ill keep my fingers crossed for you!

What you have done is taken control of your life and made a conscious decision to be healthy! Congratulations! You just had MAJOR surgery, you will have pain. But give it time and you will feel so much better! Keep a positive attitude, it helps a lot. Make sure you get in your walking, that will help with the gas pains. I promise it gets better! Once I was out of the hospital it got better for me. Chin up, you will be ok!

Omg that made me laugh! I see that all the time at my gym too and it always strikes me as ironic!

Question about Positive side effects
MrsG replied to JMS's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes! My knees don't hurt when I get up out of a chair to stand and I don't make the "uhhhh" noise like I'm 80 when I do get up! Lol! And my skin has cleared up! Prior to surgery I used to get acne occasionally and since my face is clear! I still have sleep apnea but it's not severe anymore. And my bp is great now, it was high before surgery. And energy, wow! I love it!
