    3 months out can i?

I was told it was ok as long as there are no more scabs on my incisions. At 3 months out I would think you should be ok.

    Sitting in ER

Have fun! I live in Prescott, were about halfway between Phx and the Grand Canyon. We've been having beautiful weather! glad you are ok!
  7. Um, if I was throwing up that much I would call my dr ASAP! You could get dehydrated and that could lead to other problems.
  8. Be careful. Your new tummy is numb right now. You won't feel anything like "full" or "awkward" right now. No one does. Keep measuring, it's the only way to know when your sleeve is full and you don't want to damage your suture line. Good to hear you've lost weight.
  9. Omg I'm so glad this was asked! As soon as I wake up I take my Multivitamin, protonix and bp med with maybe half a cup of Water and almost immediately I feel nauseated. It happens even if I wait to take my meds too. I don't get it. It goes away after I start moving around for a bit, just wonder why.

    Spicy buffalo pretzels!

I think pretzels would be ok further out. My dr doesn't allow grains for the first 6 months. I'm ok with that. I plan on eating grains eventually and sparingly including pretzels but want to hold out for as long as I can even after I'm allowed. As far as spicy things go, I like spicy but try not to have it be the last thing I eat in a meal or else I wanna drink sooner than the 30 minutes.

    Breaking up with my boyfriend

Go with your gut girl! If you feel he could be your downfall, leave! I agree in that you are young and have lots of time later for settling down. Do your thing, lose your weight and enjoy being who you are for a while! Your cute and look like fun and there are lots of guys out there to have fun with without being tied down! Good luck!
  12. I agree with something for your lips! Mine were so dry and chapped! The heating pad is a great idea if you have one. I only used one in the hospital and they provided it. Didnt use it once I was discharged. Didnt use gas x strips, just walked a lot after and it helped a lot! My first week I was only allowed Water, chicken broth and sugar free Jello. After that I could have food and it's true, your tastes change a lot! Be prepared to have to go shopping. You will do great! Don't be nervous, be excited! Good luck!

Relationhip with dh is different now

Aww Amy, I'm sorry you're feeling this way! I know for me it used to drive me crazy watching my husband eat. I've gotten over it and now it doesn't bother me so much. My husband is a marathon runner with a nice fast metabolism. He was my eating partner before surgery, so it's taking some time to figure out other things to do. Sad, I know. Now I see how much food played a part in our lives. So last weekend he took me out on his motorcycle! He has asked and asked me to ride with him but I was always too afraid and worried about looking like a huge whale on the back of it. I promised him after I lost 50 lbs I would go. I've lost 60lbs and we went out on Sunday for a ride, i was like screw what anyone thinks! Omg I had soooo much fun! He had Monday off too and we went out again. It's so much fun! We're actually going on a little road trip to a town an hour away tomorrow and I'm so excited! It's something he enjoys doing and now I can do it with him! I'm not saying to go out a ride a motorcycle but try to find something to do that you both enjoy doing that doesn't revolve around food. Put your focus into something else. All that you are feeling is normal! And I know from experience when you need to poop it's easy to get down. Sounds dumb but seriously I feel so much better all the way around after I can go! I feel lighter and happier! Lol! So put on your big girl panties but know that we are all in this together and you are not alone in your feelings! It's a big change and adjusting to it is not as easy as we think in our heads before surgery. Just take one day at a time. Life throws us challenges every day, it's life. Try to focus on the positive. You are losing weight, you're getting healthy and know things like hormones should balance themselves out in a few more weeks! Feel better!

    Hospital Theives?

I was told the same thing. Once I was in my room my husband brought me my iPad and I did use it and my phone to text friends.

    Drinking alcohol

I went to Vegas 8 weeks post op and drank a few tequila sunrises and a marguerita with no problem. Oh and I didn't get drunk really fast or anything. It was very much like before the sleeve.
  16. Am I the only one who HATES Calcium now? Seriously, I can't seem to remember to take it throughout the day and often forget all together! And now ill have osteoporosis....great! Lol!

    Ugh

I agree with Heather. Some mornings I can eat an egg and some cottage cheese, other mornings I can only fit the egg. I'm boring I eat a scrambled egg everyday at the same time for Breakfast. lunch and dinner vary much the same way. Sometimes I can eat a little and be done and sometimes I eat and worry my sleeve has stretched! Lol!
  18. I had the same feelings of hunger all the time! I was taking protonix and my stomach would still grumble. I would eat every few hours, all Protein to try to fill me up and last longer. I have to say now at 10 weeks out the hunger pains have lessened quite a bit. In the last few weeks I eat and I'm not even hungry. I know lots of ppl didnt feel hunger for the first few months, but I was the opposite. I know they make other proton inhibitors, maybe trying a different one would help? I'm not sure but for me it was just a waiting thing and it got better over time.
  19. Yes, I would politely but firmly tell them to not refer to your weight as it makes you uncomfortable. People are sometimes clueless. I guess because I've been overweight my whole life I wouldnt dream of saying something like "big, but not as big as you". It's rude. And while they don't have a problem saying something like that we shouldn't be afraid of standing up for ourselves and saying something back to them. You're doing a great job and only more success is to follow! Keep your chin up and pay no mind to the idiots
  20. I'm 10 weeks out and for dinner tonight I ate half of a Jenny o turkey burger (plain no bun) and 1/4 cup homemade refried Beans. I was hungry for dinner. Breakfast is harder for me, I only eat 1 scrambled egg. I'm a creature of habit so my breakfast never changes....and I love eggs! I do agree about the density, the more dense the food the less I can consume. I try to do 3 meals and 2 Snacks a day.
