Wondering About Body Parts Sagging.
Crystal Lavoie replied to Ladylaurarose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I do feel they are working for me and plan on using them throughout the weight loss. I refuse to have plastic surgery done once I reach my goal so the It Works products, along with exercise, will be the only things I have to help with this saggy process. My age and genetic makeup are not in my favor, plus the fact that I've been obese for more than half my life, let me know that I will not have a rock hard bod when all is said and done but I'm okay with that. -

Wondering About Body Parts Sagging.
Crystal Lavoie replied to Ladylaurarose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A couple of weeks ago I started using It Works body wraps and defining gel. I'm not quite 2 1/2 months post op and have lost almost 45 lbs. I worry about sagging skin so I'm going to use the It Works products throughout my journey. Skin on my chest has already tightened and with my first stomach wrap, I lost 7 inches total. -

September Sleevers Progress Updates?
Crystal Lavoie replied to Sunshine30's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved September 19 & am 43 pounds down. I think I could have had a greater loss by now had I not had a leak and spent 17 days in the hospital on tpn. But even still, I feel 43 in just over 2 months if pretty good. Starting weight was 250 & today I'm 207. -
So Flipping Miserable
Crystal Lavoie replied to sleeve_sister's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't forget, it took years to become overweight and develop bad habits. It'll take time to create new healthy habits and fix the head thoughts. Don't be too hard on yourself, take it one day at a time and learn to find the new you. It won't be easy (we all know that), but it'll sooooo be worth it!!! -
Fantastic!! You look great!!

Ok Ladies Level With Me Here ... Gas?
Crystal Lavoie replied to Lhollingsworth's topic in The Gals' Room
My gas pain was in my left shoulder and gas x strips really helped. No burping and a bit of farting but no need for an air freshener. I for sure did not fart in front of anyone.....but.....week two I learned YOU NEVER TRUST A FART!!! I just threw those underwear out....oi. -

I put mine whole in the microwave until tender, then cut in half, scoop out seeds, then scrape sides with a fork. Super easy!

What Are The Chances?
Crystal Lavoie replied to kaysonsmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not sure if it's possible that far out? Probably very rare, actually. I had a late leak 2 weeks out and for my surgeon in particular, it was rare. Hope all goes well for you. Good luck!! -
I've Had Surgery, Now What?
Crystal Lavoie replied to mzblacque's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At 2 weeks out, it was discovered that I had a small absess with a leak. I spent 17 days in the hospital with no food or fluids going into my stomach. I was fed TPN through a PICC line and gained weight during my stay. I went from feeling like I was on top of the moon before surgery, to feeling like I was actually going to do this after surgery, to going downhill for two weeks after surgery, to passing out, being weak, not being able to eat or drink much of anything and internal pain by the time I was admitted into the hospital...on my birthday. After numerous tests throughout my hospital stay, the leak partially closed and my idiot doctors (not my surgeon) felt I should just go home and eat, hoping the rest of the leak would heal in time. But if I get sick again, just come back. Horrible advice, in my opinion and the opinion of my surgeon, but thankfully I have not been back to emergency and I seem to get better as time goes on. I still worry daily. It been about 3 weeks since I've been out. But I lost the weight I gained and then some. Stay strong. My story may not be as bad as yours but I do know some of the struggles you are going through. I spent a majority of my days worried I was going to die and crying more than I thought possible. I now thank God for helping on this journey, for bringing me back to my family (I have a 5 month old baby girl) and for the 40 lbs I've lost so far. ((((hugs))) to you and everyone else who's had complications. -
Cheating? Already?!
Crystal Lavoie replied to Lesommeil's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a leak and spent 17 extra days in the hospital with no food or liquids entering my stomach. I didn't cheat to cause the leak but I just need to say that the experience was not fun so resist the urge! Once my leak was healing and I was eating food again, I too just wanted to chew food to suck out the flavor, but it wasn't worth the damage it could have done to my healing stomach. Be strong. Be smart. You'll make it through. -
