NA this is better than a first date, just think you won't have to worry....like Will he try something? or will I have to kiss this guy.... Nothing like that at all , just sit back and enjoy. You about to enter a whole new world. Called Bandland, I have just recently joined bandland 7/11/07 myself. You'll be just fine. Aloha -
Aloha and welcome to band land, I'm one week post today and you are so normal it's funny, not to you of course, you might think your going to die or have a heart attack but your just fine. When through it just last week you'll be just fine, hang in there and remember sip-sip-sip that water and keep using the protein drinks and walk, walk, walk and then walk some more it will help with the gas pains. Liquid Tylenol extra strength really works good also. take care and ALOHA Big Wave Dave

Aloha All Well I'm now with the band:) It's 24 hours and doing OK well except for the gas pains. Off the hard core pain meds taken tylenol liquid exter strength, so far so good. Just got to hang out in the hotel till saturday, that sucks. But just wanted to say thanks for all the great advise I got on the site. Well enough for now, so take care and talk to later. 2nd Day Pre-Op Diet-Harder Than I Thought
Big Wave Dave replied to wishmeluck13's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My wife found that if she puts them in the frezer about 1/2 hour to 45 mins and they are pretty good. I don't mind the taste any way it must be guy thing LOL. But you take care and hang in there you can do this. Much Aloha BWD -
Aloha All :help: This kind of a guy question but any advise male or female would be helpfull. My surgery is set for July 11, in Honolulu with Dr. Fowler. And my question is what to wear to fly home? I live on Kauai and I just don't know how sore I will/might be and if regular shorts would work or maybe something like sweat pants or gym shorts? Nex the gym shorts my G's would hang out (you'll only understand the G's thing if your a Mormon). I just don't want to fly home using a Lava-Lava (wrap) or a hospital gown with all my stuff showing. Please let me know what your thinking. Mahalo BWD

Aloha CK Sorry to hear about your wife giving you a hard time. If the shoe was on the other foot we (us men) would be called dirty rotten bastards among other thing. If it were her and you were not 100% behind her all the ladies would be saying leave that SOB, your to good for him, he doesn't understand so--so--and so. What is she afraid of? may she is afraid that if you drop the weight and start working out and get all sexy that you would leave her (now that's an idea) Sorry to vent Bro. but I jsut get mad about things like that. Now as for me, my wife was behind me all the way, and after reading and finding out about the Band she is having hers done in Aug. and I'm getting mine on the 11th. of July. So good luck and hang in there. Aloha

What to Wear After Surgery
Big Wave Dave replied to Big Wave Dave's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mahalo for your input, Mahalo means Thank You and what would be good to know when you come to Hawaii for Vacation 1. NO Black socks with sandles and shorts 2. Find a map and try and learn the name of where your'll be 3. HAWAII IS A STATE so don't use the phrase "back in the States" 4. Bring lots of Money 5. Don't leave anything in the car that you don't want stolen -
Aloha All I will be banded on July 11th. and these silly questions just jump into my head. After I'm banded and in a few weeks or months when I get back to solid foods will I be able to eat spicy foods or use hot sauce? I like to put tabasco (can I use a brade name here) on a lot of things. please advise. BWD:hungry:

Ok try this have your Doctor resubmit the paper work but don't but on there it is for weight loss surgery, it's for the reason you stated. Try that, it worked for me. I'll be banded in July on the 11th. In Honolulu by Dr. Fowler. Good Luck and hang in there. Aloha BWD

Aloha Bruce I live on Kauai, been 29 years, what a great place to live. I have lots of questions, as with most things when get down to it you can't think of one. I was wondering about work, I work in an office but I do like to work outside, in the yard, sometimes cutting down trees and you know that guy stuff, ha.ha. can you feel the band or are any restrictions on that type of work. Aloha BWD
